We’re moments away from the famous Shoreditch, London’s gritty centre for progressives and urban art lovers, as well as a bustling Brick Lane and Old Spitalfields Market - the place to go for all your vinyl, vintage and international street food! Not only that, but our St Christopher’s Inn Liverpool Street is just a stone’s throw from the city’s exclusive terrace views – from Heron Tower to the mammoth Gherkin, this part of town offers every cocktail recipe imaginable!
Only minutes away from sights such as the Tower Bridge, the Tower of London and the City Hall, it's an easy walk from the buzzing nightlife of Shoreditch and next to Wilton's Music Hall; the location is just awesome for young travellers.
The hostel matches the photos, no bad surprises on arrival. The owners are very welcoming and listening to us! We had a great time!
Centrally located, walking distance to tubes, there is a bar below.
Plenty of shower rooms, usb charges, comfortable beds. Staff is awesome.
The facilities are modern.
The dorm beds are equipped with readig llights, plugs, privacy screens and uggage storage under the beds for your convenience.
The location is great and the place is well maintained.
Pleasant environment, various services offered, cleanliness of the premises almost impeccable, helpful staff.
Magnificent setting for the bar.
Our room was spacious enough, the private bathroom pleasant (hot water, wc, window).
What minus me more:
- mattress not protected by a cover below our sheet
- pillow too thin and soft
-our room (001) was above the bar: a bit noisy
- the water in the shower did not drain quickly enough so that the water could go to the bedroom floor (a squeegee would have served us well)
-Oven not mentioned in the description of the kitchen (I think I may have read it wrong)
Basically: we had a pleasant stay!
I really enjoyed my stay with you! I have a few recommendations for room 13 in particular. If it were possible to install a soap dispenser near the dormitory sink and a mirror near the electrical outlet near the window, that would be really handy. Otherwise, everything else is perfect. Thanks again for your welcome!
Rather clean room, interesting bar with activities. Friendly reception staff
We had a great stay
Very good Hostel, clean, fun and very Nice staff at the réception
Located in the heart of the city, we’re only a short walk from the London Eye, Tower Bridge and London’s biggest food market, Borough Market. With the hostel being 2 minutes walk from TWO tube stations, getting around the city doesn’t get much easier.
Located in central London we’re only a short walk from the London Eye, Tower Bridge and the London Dungeon. The London Bridge tube station and Borough Markets, one of the best and most extensive food markets in London are right on our doorstep. You can also take a stroll along The River Thames and beyond to take in St Paul’s Cathedral, Tate Modern Gallery, OXO Tower, Gabriel’s Wharf, the British Film Institute, the Southbank Centre, the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament.
Great location, bar just below the hostel so a bit noisy
Have a good stay. The hostel is very well located compared to the city center of London
The hotel is in great location, great food, bar down stairs, nice room and renovated bathrooms. Friendly staff too!
The hostel is very clean. There's a bar on the bottom floor. Large lockers available to safely store your luggage. Breakfast is pleasant. Worth it to spend and stay here.
For the short stay I made this hostel suited me perfectly. Located near the center of London, it allows you to visit the city at a lower cost. It is the ideal place for sightseeing.
It was excellent
Extremely noisy for a family with children
Very welcome, despite a late arrival (2:30 am). The staff is very nice and smiling. Nice room, clean, as well as the bathroom. Nice offers for the restaurant and the bar of the hostel + musical entertainment every night. We had a great time!
The hostel is okay if you don't mind sleep in 3 to 4 tier bunk beds.
The location is pretty convenient well located in central London, walking distance to London Bridge station it is very close to the London Bridge Borough Market. There is also a bar downstairs where you can definitely meet a lot of people. The bar and hostel is often frequented by fellow travellers and youngsters so expect it to be a little bit noisy and rowdy on the wee hour of the morning.
Tower of London is 1.1 km -, while Tower Bridge is 1.2 km away. London City Airport is 10 km from our hostel.
Southwark is a great choice for travellers interested in city walks, monuments and culture.
Free Continental Breakfast
Happy hour at the bar is from 5 pm - 7 pm (Monday - Friday).
Free WIFI access in the 1st-floor lounge only.
Free shampoo and soap
Our hostel is in the heart of London's theatreland.
You can walk to many central London attractions including Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, London Eye & Leicester Square!
I had my computer stolen in a mixed room with 12 beds. For 10 € more the night I could have a room to 2 and more secure. It's partly my fault. The thing that bothered me the most was that the people at the front desk did not do anything, did nothing to help me, it was really cowardly and dishonest.
The property was very clean. Loved the location, very nice neighborhood, enjoyed walking. Staff were friendly and attentive. Thank you.
Clean and comfy beds, great location, nice staff, good food and location. will recommend.
perfect location - good home - equipment problems
This was an excellent value for me as a solo traveler with only a limited amount of time in London. Being right in the middle of everything meant I was able to avoid having to waste any time commuting and start my day right in the thick of things. The hotel is old, and offers no lift, but as a backpacker this was no problem. The location felt extremely safe as the residence floors have a passcode lock to access, and staff was on hand 24/7. The staff also was very accommodating in that I had to upload a large file overnight, and they gladly kept my laptop behind the desk while the file transferred.
Property was in very good located. Toilets were clean and
full city center
Excellent situation. Good value for money
Stay at Safestay Hostel London Elephant & Castle and you’ll find Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, Oxford Street and Leicester Square all less than 15-minutes away by tube. Tate Modern, the National Theatre, The Imperial War Museum, London Aquarium, London Dungeon, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, the Kia Oval and the famous Ministry of Sound are all within 1.5 miles of the property.
The place to stay in London! The Steam Engine is a hop, skip and jump away from London’s main attractions. Head towards the river to see London in all its glory. Walk between Big Ben, the London Eye, museums and more – and don't forget to get that perfect selfie! #PubLove
I’ve been there twice and will go back, it’s very well placed, clean and not very expensive. The beds are very comfortable, the rooms pleasant and the staff very friendly. Only regret no way to cook or store your own food but hey it is not the most important because there are shops and restaurants everywhere and you can always eat in the entrance hall. I recommend 100% !!
great hostel where you can make great meetings, well placed and ideal for small budgets.
We stayed with our 2 grandchildren. Everything went as planned. Room 4 corresponded to our expectations. The competent, jovial staff gave us the advice we expected. Roughly nothing wrong, on the contrary.
great hospitality, rooms and bathrooms are clean, comfortable beds.
Very clean hostel !! Superb room, showers and toilets are well maintained, nothing to complain about. the staff is there for us. Only negative point, the price of breakfast is too expensive ...
