Our hostel is located just a few minutes walk from Hyde Park, Kensington Palace and the Albert Memorial. The tube stations of Gloucester Road and South Kensington are right on our doorstep so you can easily connect to other parts of the city whilst two of London`s most famous landmarks, the Royal Albert Hall and the Natural History Museum, are just moments away.
Located in the most beautiful and charming neighbourhood in London, Astor Hyde Park is one minute from Hyde Park and surrounded by some of London’s greatest museums including the Natural History Museum, Victoria & Albert and Science Museum. The hostel is a short walk from London’s best transport connections, including direct trains to Heathrow Airport and all of London’s attractions. If this weren’t enough the iconic pubs, excellent shopping, amazing restaurants and occasional celebrity sighting
The staff very friendly, location very well. But for against having to pay a bath towel I do not think it's too normal. The household is not done every day which is unpleasant because the bathrooms still dirty. I personally recommend this place to young people and to those who do not need too much comfort.
This hostel is very well located, it is next to several tourist areas. It is clean, maybe a little flat on the cleanliness of the showers on the floor 6.
Less modern than advertised in the photos, room not too well maintained but enough to sleep. the showers are at variable pressure according to which one. billiards and table football is a shame; little dej correct attention for the payment they withdraw once the stay finished and not to the reservation and thus bank commission afterwards ...
Great hostel, just a few small negatives
Ideally well placed for tourism although a little far from the metro. Room for 2 very small but correct. By cons no atmosphere, people alone, only on their laptops and very dark rooms. Acceptable but indifferent staff welcome.
Really a great hostel. Rooms well, comfortable. Amazing facilities and a great atmosphere with other guests and staff. It has a very complete common room: sofas, projector with netflix, computer, piano, etc. They offer breakfast and themed dinners for £ 1, which will also be donated to charity. We have fallen in love, we will return without a doubt!
Everything was fine, the staff was polite and welcoming. The location in London is the must. Just be careful with cleaning (nothing really bad). There was some dust above the top of my bed and the floor of the bathroom was unclean because of the water from the shower. Maybe you could replace the shower curtain by a glass door ?
This hostel is still very respectable. Well located even if the metro is far, beautiful building, reception team at the top. Bedding correct. I advise you. The weak point is only breakfast but at least it costs only £ 1. Similarly, I did not like the fact that we share a tiny bathroom to 10. In addition we have no place to put our things, our clothes.
Zone 1 central London location. Very safe neighbourhood.
5 minute walk to Earls Court Tube/Metro Station (Piccadilly Line and District Line). Lots of bus routes.
Short walk to Holland Park , Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park and Kensington High Street.
Food shop and launderette both 30 seconds walk away
Our hostel, Hyde Park View, is very conveniently located with a friendly and helpful staff. The hostel offers clean and comfortable rooms and fantastic access to London's most famous sites and attractions.
You can also enjoy the scenic walk from Hyde Park to Buckingham Palace and Piccadilly Circus or the most popular shopping areas in London and Europe, Portobello Market, Knightsbridge and Oxford Street.
Near a metro station (limit zone 1). Calm
I spent 3 nights at this hostel. Nice atmosphere in the dormitory. Showers and toilets clean.
Un personnel très accueillant. Le petit déjeuner et le dîner gratuit. L'auberge est très bien située ( métro, restaurant, boutique...). Et l'ambiance est superbe et conviviale.
Near subway and amenities I took a private double room for 3 days. Sufficient space for 2 people. Bathroom small but we do not spend hours! We were side yard and it was not very noisy from a certain time.
The meal offered is nice for cons for lunch "offered" will iron no food consistent (milk, coffee, sweet) orange juice and fruit juice is over if it remains a place to sleep showers have no shelves just two small doors coats and a door The water was boiling No cold water the rooms are not spotless in the state but it's ok
Do not recommend the hostel
For people over 1m85 the beds are a bit small. Hostel well placed. Some rooms have lockers that close only magnetically by paying to have a card at the reception. Welcoming staff.
Ideal for an extended week-end
Good value for money
Our hostel is located in Nothing Hill gate, a 10-minute walk to the famous Portobello Road and right on the door step of Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens, home to Prince William and Kate Middleton! A charming, safe and beautiful area to explore London from, Astor Queensway is a home away from home.
With Victoria station and Victoria Coach Station just a 5-minute walk away and piles of things to see and do from The Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace and Victoria Palace Theatre all walkable distance away, you’ll get to discover the streets of London.
The hotel was under renovation when I went, the staff is friendly. Everything went well.
Well located accommodation in London, close to public transport (bus, metro ..). The neighborhood is vibrant and shops within 400 meters of the hostel. Correct breakfast but limited choice of products. Only small downside to the level of cleanliness of the room (humidity, dirty bathroom), despite this the beds are comfortable and the room quite large; the window did not close, fortunately it was very hot inside. I will recommend this accommodation for a short stay without a fuss!
Clean, affordable hostel with careful and useful staffs. There is a joyful atmosphere and it is well located. I had an amazing time at Astor ! Shared rooms are spacious enough and mine had an ensuite bathroom. They have useful facilities such as free lockers, a luggage storage.
The employees were very friendly, the food was good, the bed was comfortable. Although one of the cabin in the washroom couldn't be used... Overall, I recommend. I did had a hard time sleeping but it was mainly because of other customers that didn't seem to realized that other people tried to sleep.
This hostel was very good, very clean. The bed and the sheets are comfortable. The pub is friendly and very nice to eat or drink. The hosts are very friendly. The fitting out are good thinking (plug for each bed with USB, toilet deodorant ...). The breakfast are delicious. This hostel is really nice, the bathrooms were very clean. The beds and sheets were very comfortable. The pub is very welcoming and friendly, very good and cheap to eat or drink. The staff were very kind. The furnishings are very well thought out (taken for each bed with USB, deodorant in the toilet ...). The breakfast was excellent.
we stayed three nights in this hostel ... it is dirty and neglected .... no ventilation in the dormitories where we were 24 ... the condensation was oozing along the windows (which are doomed) and along the walls .. the toilets were clogged, as well as the showers ... too much negligence !!!
This hostel is nice. The staff is available. The only negative is the showers.
The Pub is nice decor, great atmosphere, and the staff is friendly and helpful. But it gets bad once you walk through the doors for the hotel. The facilities are dilapidated, cleanliness doubtful, sanitary do not talk about it. No common room to sit outside the pub, so with the obligation to consume if you want to ask to discuss. The free breakfast offered in the morning is just to avoid: instant coffee, bread or cereals, no orange juice, no jams, just butter to put on. So for one night, it goes, it's cheap. But otherwise...
Ideally located next to the beautiful Hyde Park and a mere 10 minutes walk to Kennington Gardens, Smart Hyde Park Inn Hostel in great place to base yourselves for visiting London. Not much further away is the delightful Notting Hill, famous for its summer festival and Portabello Road Market.
We are a stones throw away from many major tourist attractions, such as Portobello Market, Hyde Park & Kensington Palace!
Hyde Park is 2.4 km from Hostel One Notting Hill. London City Airport is 20 km from the property.
Kensington and Chelsea is a great choice for travellers interested in architecture, monuments, shopping and entertainment.
