Arc de Triomphe, Parc Monceau
The 1st historical hostel of Paris, private parisian mansion house of the 18th century, offered by the Emperor Napoleon to the actress Mlle Mars, managed by the 1st non profit youth hostelling organisation in Paris, to get a cheap bed with simple and basic facilities on an amazing location, just between the vibrant shopping district of the National Opera House and Montmartre with Sacré-Coeur, Pigalle and Moulin Rouge a street closer to the hostel.
It has a good structure, but I really missed a kitchen or at least a microwave :(
The bathroom wasn't so good too, I couldn't find the light switch to take a shower and I took it in the dark :(((
The check in process is very slow and there's no security for store luggage
The breakfast wasn't so good
The facilities were beautiful. However, the bathrooms were few and you always had to wait to enter. The showers were not always able to be used, one of them did not close. What I did not like was that some guests do not respect the rules and make noise when we are already asleep. Twice some people arrived making noise as if it were day, but it was 3 in the morning. In other places I have been there is a control by the staff and these problems do not arise.
The first thing that surprised us was that the technical room serves as a luggage room. Not monitored. Then we slept in room 3, the door made a loud noise. We were also surprised that the rooms were not ventilated during the day. We were also disappointed by the very small toilet on the ground floor. The men's toilets are larger but do not have locks. There was nothing to wash your hands properly. Given the average age of the people we stayed with, I will not be back until I turned 25 years old. I will say that the main entrance to the hostel was never closed. However the breakfast we liked very much, the situation of the hostel is perfect. The staff seemed very friendly and welcoming.
Breakfast not great choice and a lot of noise in the courtyard at night.
Nice hostel but not functional. 15-bed dorms with one key for all the dormitory ^^ the sinks are in the room, no socket near the beds, only on the floor and ladder not practical to get into the bed of the 3rd floor. The toilet and shower were clean however and close to the rooms and the breakfast was cool. The welcoming staff also. So a nice hostel if you consider it's Paris, just a shame for the practical side.
The door of the room closed very badly, and with great noise, difficult to close it behind you at each entry / exit, we slept with the door of the room open! Only one key per room: this system is in any case dilapidated and hardly functional for dormitories. No space in the room to lock our things. Room poorly heated, it was cold. The hostel only provides a blanket (no down), which is not enough in winter in their poorly heated rooms. The towels are not loaned, they are on sale only (5 € for a small towel), and worse, there is no soap, neither in the showers, nor on the sinks. The welcome is friendly, but it does not compensate for the under-equipment and the lack of heating in the hostel ...
I arrived at the hostel on Tuesday at 10:30 pm to leave on Wednesday at 5:30 am, personalized and very pleasant welcome by the young woman at the counter. Everything is fine! Cleanliness, home, setting and comfort of the bed ... Small flats: No CB, lack bulb on the second floor, and slightly noisy when there is a group of teenagers ...
Friendly and helpful staff
The hostel is in a very charming neighborhood (9th arrondissement). Perfect place for those who want to see beautiful buildings (Moulin Rouge, Garnier Palace, St. Trinity ....). As soon as you enter the building, you are charmed by the "royal" decoration of the hall. The outdoor courtyard has nothing to envy the hall since it also has its charm with its wall decorations. A delicious breakfast, no frills and enough proposal to please everyone. As for the rooms, they are fun. personally, I did not feel crowded with other people; but it may displease those who are used to large rooms. In addition, the number of shots is really limited. I just have a little problem with the toilet I found too small (it's my claustrophobic side talking) and the fact that there is no locker for our things.

A small note on the narrowness of the showers but overall, good value for money.
The situation is good, just 15 minutes from the Gare du Nord. Breakfast, acceptable although it has no fruit. The friendliness of the reception staff should be improved
Good bedding, little noise, we enjoyed the breakfast. We regret a not very warm welcome .. and everything is not very clean
The staff is very welcoming and very open. The location of the hotel offers the occupants multiple activities and discoveries. Very satisfactory place both cleanliness level and equipment.
Hostel very well placed and with a price within the reach of all. A warm and simple welcome. I will return for my stays in Paris.
nice hostel, friendly staff
a shame because the hostel is very well located but really too noisy especially when you occupy a room on the 1st floor (slamming doors of rooms, toilets, shower ... sound of footsteps on the wooden stairs, squeaking chairs in the morning at breakfast ...). it would be enough to put felt under the feet of the chairs, carpet on the stairs and placards on the stairs and on the bearing recall reminding people that they should not make noise from a certain time.
I really liked it. The staff was very friendly, and I had everything I needed during my stay. I would have liked that if there were large lockers for luggage and that they will place people with a lot of luggage on the first or second floor, not in the room how was my case (counting the reception as the first floor), since it was difficult to climb and get off with all the bags and bags
Everything was fine except the lack of air conditioning which resulted in the need to open the windows which is problematic for noise neighborhood
Between Pigalle and Montmartre, The Regent Montmartre offers an incredible experience of contemporary Paris.
If you'd like to experience the city like a” true Parisian”, you have chosen the right spot! Hostel is situated 10 minutes from of the Sacré Coeur and historic Butte Montmartre, one of the must-see in Paris.
The Regent is well located, with very good value for money. We only stayed in the hostel, so for those on a lower budget, it's perfect, and there are also rooms for families and others.
Room 6 had no shower inside the room, four room yes, which is simpler.
Everything is OK
Very warm and welcoming hostel ..... Super well located 1 min from the metro not far from the small food shops and next to the sacred heart ... There we meet a lot of different nationality so very rewarding but also a little noisy some nights depending on the youth on the spot ... Perfect bedding kitchen equipment too ..... I advice
We were very disappointed with the hostel's website, room for family without aeration, we had to open the window at night but fuss. kitchen area too small and people who use it to cook does not respect the instructions of cleanliness (dishes not made, very dirty towel) and lack of dishes. the only good thing is the location.
Sometimes a little noisy
Stay a few days with young children. Great home, immaculate room and the terrace is very nice to rest! The children also appreciated the place. The hostel is as well located 2 minutes from the subway and in a quiet street at night. Small flat for the sorting of waste that is not in place ... At present, it is a shame to put in the trash all the plastics, cardboard boxes, cans and even glass bottles while they can resservir .... To think! Thank you in any case for the welcome!
Breakfast not rich enough for 6 €.
Welcoming, simple and clean
I had nice time in there. Staffs are so kind and warm. They told me everything about Paris. I was so comfortable in this hostel. Thank you very much for your help. See you. Traveling is recommended for college students in Korea ~ Please take your soul in advance. The location is also a 30 minute walk to the center of Paris and just below Montmartre Hill. You should not go too late. I went late but nothing happened. I do not know. It is recommended to talk with people ~
Located just a short distance from Montmarte, & is within walking distance to the Moulin Rouge & Pigalle as well as dozens of restaurants, cafes, & pubs.
All Paris attractions are easily accessible by Metro
Visit the Butte Montmartre, the Sacre Cœur & Montmartre, just a few steps away
With the subway, you will reach quickly the Champs-Elysées, the Tour Eiffel or the Opéra
Anvers Metro Station, Barbes-Rochechouart Metro Station, Poissonnière Metro Station, Montmartre Funicular Station all near.
Welcome to Paris! Located close to the Gare du Nord and a few minutes’ walk from Montmartre the Smart Place Paris youth hostel is the perfect place from which to reach every corner of the capital.
the welcome is warm the staff really nice atmosphere and property I come back again and again good stay to all
I was alone, and it was my first time having a shared room. I'm kind of shy you see. In the end, I opened the door, I jumped into a bed lol and I slept. It took me a while to decide. I do not think we should be afraid of others like that x) Otherwise the place, the hostel, was good for the price. You have to let go of this kind of place. It's pretty good :)
I just stayed one night respectively for a few hours at the Vintage. The check in was easy and the staff friendly. I got all I need, thanks!
Excellen place to stay
Great fun little hostel for our family with kids 14 and 12 .
Clean but compact rooms - you’ll need to be tidy
Great kitchen facilities - basic but allows you to feed from Fran Prix supermarket next door
Location in a lively neighborhood, relaxed atmosphere. I will come back.
The minimum required is there but nothing more.
