Hostel
No hostels in Dublin offer quite the same experience as Generator, with all kinds of cool conveniences on-site. There’s a shop for all your travel needs, a cinema room where you can meet others and unwind, and it doesn’t stop there. The restaurant and café offers chic surroundings for locals and travellers enjoying choice picks from celebrated menus. Then there’s the Generator bar, renowned throughout the city for its great vibes, excellent beverages and popular events.
Very welcoming and pleasant staff. Private room with shower not always hot, but ideal location in the center of Dublin. In the kitchen, it is a pity that some travelers leave their dishes lying around and are not clean ...
We stayed only one night. But the staff was helpful. Clean room with bathroom. Simple breakfast.
Very warm hostel. Shower and toilet with easy access. Comfortable dorms with lockers (useful to take a cadena), the only constraint is the noise of other travelers and the door that clips.
I have stayed at this hostel before and I was happy. This time though, a lot less. - I would have liked to have access to the common room and the kitchen by getting up at 6 am, but from 11pm to 7:30 am, these two rooms are closed. I fully understand that there are specific schedules for the breakfast service but I still expected to have a quiet coffee ... - I slept about 3 hours of the night (although it was during the week) because of groups that were partying in the dormitory. Since the common room is closed, people find themselves in the dormitories, to the detriment of those who want to sleep ...
Home correct, perfect location in the city center but disenchantment fast and violent when discovering the room: a tiny room under the eaves where we were crowded at 6 with a poor little window for ventilation. We spent three nights in the hostel and the first was almost unbearable in terms of smell (smell of feet !!). And even with the small window open we had this bad smell throughout the stay! I wanted to discover the hostels to my little brother starting with this one .. very bad choice!
In a room of 6, it lacks a bench or stools, or even a table, as well as shelves, and towel doors in the bathroom. Lack of written information in the dining room for breakfast.
The focus was on the design of the lobby and bar. the wifi is of good quality. Very good. The rest is disappointing: unfriendly staff, loud music constantly in the lobby (to make young and trendy probably), noisy hostel (1 window of the room overlooked a patio occupied by people from the bar until late at night) , no hook in the room (where do we hang his clothes), locker under the bed for his business very difficult to access because the bed was in an angle, etc ... I recommend only for those who want to do the party !
Really kind staff, always there if you nees any help. Dormrooms clean and very well equipied. Sanitary very clean also and their amount is more than enough for all the people hosted there. My trip in Dublin was a success partly thanks to this hostel!
Para mi la parte nueva me encanto. Perfecto todo.
Disappointed by the showers ... No bath mat and full of hair on the floor ... We must make the bed, it surprised me but it is not a problem.
Hostel
We're tucked away in a side street just off of Francis Street. It’s a great location for visiting the Guinness Storehouse, Jameson Distillery, Christchurch Cathedral, Saint Patrick Cathedral, Dublin Castle and the Brazen Head - Ireland's oldest pub! And we're only a ten-minute walk from popular hot spots like Grafton Street, Temple Bar, Camden area and Trinity College. There are many restaurants, shops, bars, pubs and supermarkets just around the corner.
Hostel
Located just off Dublin's famous O'Connell Bridge, we are the most centrally located hostel in the city. Temple Bar, Ireland's famous cultural corner and nightlife spot is a two-minute walk away and can be seen from the front windows. We're just minutes from all the major places of interest and shopping areas including Dublin Castle, Christchurch Cathedral, Trinity College, the Guinness Storehouse, Grafton Street and Stephens Green.
The hostel is very nice, the atmosphere is friendly.
The place is clean and people were welcoming and helpful. I was staying in the room with 8 beds and there was no problem to report. It was also the cheapest place to stay in Dublin so if you are looking for a cheap and nice place in the city centre, I woud advise Garden Lane Backpackers !
Good
I loved staying at Garden Lane Backpackers! I would recommend it to everyone, the staff are awesome and so is the free breakfast
Very good as a friendly hostel. The rooms are comfortable, we had the bathroom adjoining the room which is very good for a hostel. Only downside in the morning we did not have hot water in the shower and we do not know why no information about it.
From the reception we feel like with friends, the sets of paint put a dynamic atmosphere, perfect bedding The labyrinth effect is very well taken into account with signs everywhere, impossible to get lost. Only downside is the low number of restrooms in a small space The radiators heaters -towels in the shower block are appreciated :)
Really a very colorful hostel and very nice, clean, where you want to come back.
Location nothing to say, perfect. Clean very well. I recommend
Séjour agréable dans une auberge idéalement située. Personnel aimable et accueillant ; chambres propres et claires ; petit-déjeuner continental ou britannique, abondant et de qualité.
Hostel
We are based in Upper Gardiner Street, next to Mountjoy Park, a few mins walk from O'Connell Street, which is the main street of Dublin. You can reach us using Airlink bus 747 or Bus 700 which takes only 30 mins from Dublin Airport and stops nearby.) We are also near Busaras central bus station and Connolly train station. Also a short walk to the O2 and Croke Park, Dublin's legendary stadium. Restaurants, bars, shops, main tourist sights are all right here.
Hostel
The hostel is 300 m from Temple Bar, less than 2 km from Croke Park Stadium and 2 km from The O2 Dublin.
Dublin Airport is 9 km away.

Good hostel
We just couldn't take a hot shower
Everything is clean
Everything is healthy
Everything is new
High quality
We have a pleasant stay. The hostel exceeded our expectations in all areas: reception, services, room etc. Located about 20 minutes walk from the center its location is quite satisfactory.
The infrastructure is rather original, it is quiet and clean. At 700m from the bus 447 of the airport. We are quickly downtown by foot too, we recommend.
Superb hostel! Ideally located in the heart of Dublin. Very clean. Welcoming staff
Good location and clean. Breakfast is pretty standard stuff but cheap for 3euro - Dublin is pretty expensive for food othewise. Good location close to ha'penny bridge.
Very good holidays
Lovely communal areas, great kitchen/dining area, great 6 bed bunk room with en suite, good location, chilled vibe
perfect
Hostel
When you stay here you’ll only be a minutes’ walk from some of Dublin’s most famous attractions: Trinity College, Dublin Castle, Christchurch, the newly refurbished old Jameson Distillery or the amazing Guinness Storehouse.
Hostel
Isaacs is located in the Heart of the city on Dublin's Northside. The Bus station and Connolly Train Station and Luas (tram) stops are only a couple of minutes from here. The Arport bus stop is just around the corner. Major attractions such as Epic Museum , Jeannie johnston Famine ship and the GPO Museum are 5 minutes walk and it's only 12 minutes to Trinity College etc. Shops , bars and restaurants are all close by. Croke park and the 3 arena are also easily accessible.
Home top and lounge well equipped but tiny dorm despite the number of beds in it and showers / toilets not clean at all.
The hostel is very well placed to be in the heart of the city without having too much transport to make to visit all the interesting places and monuments. The rooms of 4 are a little tight. The general condition of the hotel is a bit older, a good renovation would not be a bad thing. The kitchen has a lot of tables to find its place easily. Storing products in the fridge is a bit difficult. People tend to leave their dirty dishes in the sinks. But it is satisfactory overall for the price. Not too much contact with the staff.
Really small room for a lot of bunkers bed.
Really cold outside the room
Not enough bathroom for the amount of people.
But
Really good emplacement and not expensive
This hostel is super well located. We could do a lot of walking tours. The staff is really very friendly. So yes it's a little noisy but it is to be expected for a youth hostel at temple bar. Yet I had no problem sleeping! Small advice, invest in earplugs, it's magic!
L'accueil est souriant et extrêmement disponible. De bons conseils, toujours dans la bonne humeur.
Malgré le monde ambiance détendue et calme. Un must pour une auberge de jeunesse !;-)
It s strange for me to have the sauna free the tour of dublin free the coffee free but not the luggages for the day when I go away for a little hours...
otherwise the hostel is efficient! thank you!
I spent 2 nights at this hostel. 1 in a room with 8 beds, and 1 in a room with 16 beds. The hostel is very friendly, and the staff too. The ammenagement makes the atmosphere friendly, everything is clean and the location is very good. You just need earplugs because of the nearby train. The only bad thing about my stay is not due to the hostel, but to the guy who slept downstairs from my bunk bed. He moved all night without stopping, which shook my bed, preventing me from sleeping ...
Good hostel, great location, I recommend
Very nice stay in Dublin
Room was horribly hot and just under a noisy rail track
