Our hostel is a walking distance from the main attractions Prado/reina Museums , royal palace, retiro park, and in the middle of the madrilenian nights life
With the area so full of life there’s plenty to do. Gran Via is known for being the creative hub of the city and this can be seen through the numerous quirky vintage shops, market stalls and eateries nearby. The friendly and vibrant nature of the area compliments what Generator is all about making this city and Generator a match made in heaven.
Very friendly hostel, well located, very nice staff;
I loved our 5 day stay at the hostel! The street is very central to visit the historical and cultural center of Madrid ... and there are good restaurants within walking distance! I recommend !
There are faults in the bathroom, balconies without shutters, they could put double glazing against noise at night. Missing hangers to hang clothes and bigger lockers. Four people do not handle themselves well in the room for four. There is no lift and upload luggage that is not a backpack, bicycle ...., up the stairs to the 2nd floor it costs work.
Very good, recommended by location, attention and quality
The facilities, the decoration, the staff very well. But in the rooms the air conditioning makes a lot of noise and dries the environment, too hot. Very well the bathroom and shower in the room but it would be great that in addition to an outdoor shower (which I enjoyed) there was an outdoor bathroom without having to go down in pajamas to the ground floor. The beds very well, great, although the stairs make a little foot pup, hehe. Great bunkers to store things. It is the first experience in a Hostel, and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised but it was difficult for me to sleep with people entering and leaving at dawn, in the next few occasions I will look for private rooms. One thing, I went down to the bathroom on the ground floor and forgot the card to go up. And then I used the stairs to access the fifth floor, they should check the doors as they were open and anyone could have climbed.
A very place, students of all nationalities, a great meeting place. The staff is top and answers all our questions. Thank you
Comfortable spacious rooms, modern and top-notch facilities. Big, relaxing lounge/common area, lots of working spaces, awesome staff. Will come back again and again.
This hostel got everything you need and more. Own personal lockers inside the rooms, a sink, toilet, and shower so you don't have to fall in line to share with other guests on the same floor. Really lively bar and restaurant on the ground floor.
Safestay Madrid is located at 22 Calle Sagasta, in one of the best districts in Madrid, within easy walking distance of areas such as Castellana, Sol, Gran Vía, Chueca and Fuencarral. It is extremely well connected to public transport, two metro stations just a few meters away from the hostel, which connects to 5 different lines. The Alonso Martínez metro stop connects to lines 5, 10 and 4, while the nearby Bilbao stop connects to lines 1 and 4. The district has the best atmosphere in the city.
Because traveling on your own does not mean that you want to be on your own
And when you travel with friends you don't want to waste a minute. Near la Puerta del Sol..near to everything.
Full rating an 8
A nice place, with attentive and friendly workers, clean, economical, downtown hostel with subway nearby.
Hostel very good price
Very good hostel and very very good visit with Erika (wolves tour)!
Too many options at a high price (breakfast, locker for luggage). A lot of moisture! Very nice atmosphere.
Very good home.Well located in the center of Madrid. The beds and bathrooms are comfortable. Good insulation of windows but unfortunately not walls. No operational wifi in the dormitories !!
Excellent service, all very clean, wonderful location, breakfast was fine
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music
venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair,
narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the
center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends
outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents,
and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on
the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as
many other parts of the city, but this only adds to
the Malasaña edge.
Bubbling with life at any time of day – and often long into the night – Malasaña is Madrid’s hippest neighbourhood. Surrounding Plaza del 2 de Mayo and near the Tribunal Metro stop, the trendy barrio is just minutes from Sol and a short walk to the most sought after museums and cultural hotspots.
It's nice it's a peaceful and pleasant place
Very good stay and very well placed
hostel very well placed, very clean. the hosts are adorable, only problem: there is saying netflix room does not work at all
The rooms are well appointed, the patio in the center of the hostel is cute and invites discussion. Very rich breakfast (good for young travelers). Hostel very well placed, very close to the busiest corners. Staff attentive and responsive: one of the beds broke at the slats, the problem was solved a few hours later.
Hostel ideally located in the district of Malasaña, the heart of the Movida. A small interior patio surrounded by half-timbered balconies where you can have a drink or your breakfast around a lounge made in pallets.
Loved the hostel! Very safe, clean, super helpful attendants, code to go up to the rooms and enter the rooms very safe. In addition to being very well located. I will always come back!
It lacks a collective place a little quieter with a little comfort and with softer music to read and exchange. Too bad not being able to ventilate the room. The restoration is average.
The rooms have a great privacy, being a hostel. The only discomfort is that we were on the first floor and all the noise of the street was heard. At 3 o'clock in the morning there was a lot of noise outside and it was hard for us to rest.
Motion Chueca, located in the Pedro Zerolo, in the heart of the Chueca and two minutes from Gran Via, the ideal place to enjoy with family, friends and your partner a good typical Spanish food; enjoy with your closest of the multiple musicals available in the different theaters, and the different experiences that this characteristic street of Madrid will generate will not leave you indifferent!
The hostel is within walking distance of many places of cultural interest, like the Prado Museum or Buen Retiro Park, which are a 20 minute walk away. Across from to Almudena Cathedral and the Royal Palace.
The hostel is unsanitary presence of bedbugs saw my bites the staff did not believe me unless I saw one in the room
In my opinion it is the worst place I have ever been, they do not care about the safety or welfare of customers, poor cleaning, unpleasant odors, faucets and handlebars and broken lockers, poor cleaning ... Etc.
The receptionist was so soft and apathetic that the check in took 2h30! To lose so much time on a we are unacceptable. And we were 9th out of 30 people waiting for check in.
It's a shabby, seedy, seedy place.
Ideal location. Near the royal palace.
Pretty hostel. Room is 10 too. But no window. And only one shower and 1wc ...
Basically I just loved my stay in this hostel, I recommend 100%
nice hostel, well located and very welcome. Small flat: cleanliness and the fact of introducing someone into the dormitory at 2 o'clock in the morning ... there should be a time limit for the arrival of newcomers in a dormitory
Very friendly staff, very well located hostel clean room but a maid should spend the morning cleaning the rooms and bathroom
Very good, very good location and excellent treatment of workers. For a getaway to Madrid with perfect and economical teenagers.
