Aras is situated on the Wild Atlantic Way, with 19 rooms, 16 of which are en-suite.
The ambience is that of a home from home.

We offer either cereal and toast or a full Irish breakfast, and for self-catering guests, we have a fully equipped kitchen with all amenities.

We are a 15-minute drive from Slieve League; the highest sea cliffs in Ireland and possibly Europe.
The beaches are pristine and very scenic with an abundance of walking trails crossing the mountains.

Aras has a very homely atmosphere with stunning sea and mountain views, close to Slieve League and some of the most pristine coastline and beaches on the planet.

Social and fun

In the evenings you can have a meal and a chat/drink in the homely kitchen in front of a fire or enjoy the quiet of the lounge and a book from our library.

You would probably enjoy your stay a lot more if you had a car here, but we do offer bicycles so you can get around.
We are very much out in the country and there isn’t local transport.
A rental car would allow for the most from your stay.

We do provide some frozen meals for your convenience; we know that sometimes a quick meal after a long day is a great solution.
We don't sell alcohol on the premises, but we’d be happy to drop you at the local pub or call a taxi for you.

Fantastic

The staff are very helpful with showing you places of interest and also really friendly remembering our first names. The location is perfect for those who want to see natural beauty and everything is very close by. Hiking and swimming is on your doorstep and the views from the hostel are amazing. They also have an open fire to relax after a busy day.

Fantastic

It has the most beautiful views of the rugged Donegal coast. Other than that, the hosts were great and the facilities were good. We had hot water and a heater was provided in case it got cold. All around great value for money and a wonderful place to stay.
