Nice room but it felt a little bit crammed. Common areas are not very cozy but quite clean though. Pictures should be updated because there is a Starbucks instead of the big entry.
It is a hostel, which at first, seems to be a little further from the center, but it is in a very good location and near a very busy street and you can find everything. It is a very clean hostel, good facilities and the staff is very nice and willing, they give you all the directions you need and help you. The only thing in the rooms where there are more beds to share, there are very few sockets, quite the opposite in the kitchen, where you find it very easy to charge all the devices. And since they take advantage of all the space to put beds and have more people, there are no lockers to store the most valuable items or money. There are cages or lockers next to reception that cost 2 per day to have.
The staff at the hostel is friendly, help in case of problems. The kitchen is well equipped and tidy. Common areas include billiards, Netflix room, ping-pong and board games. The rooms are quite small and some problems of cleanliness (chewing gum on the ceiling). Also there is a green illuminated sign at the top of the door that is lit 24H / 24, not great at night. Otherwise the location is very good, close to the center and Temple Bar.
Great hostel, lots of people and passing. Room ok but small (6 people). Sanitary clean and spacious. Appreciable breakfast. It lacks personal lockers in the rooms. Good welcome. Very well located
good location ok breakfast (lacks fruit juice) nice personal not always very clean
The staff is competent and friendly, the rooms are clean and well organized. The showers are good too, even if there are often pressure drops.
When I made my reservation, I made the composition of the family of 9 people (6 adults 2 teenagers of 17 years old and one of 12 years old) and we had a dormitory of 10 beds At our arrival a hostess not too friendly tells us we can not accommodate another person in our room considering the age of the children which was not expected when I booked So she made me pay an extra 2 nights for the unoccupied bed either 40 € is this normal?
For having spent 4 nights in this hostel, I do not recommend it. Rooms of 12 small with Spartan comfort, very bad soundproofing (get ready to hear techno all night even with earplugs), and the hotel staff is as cold as a fridge. Only positive point the location 2 steps from the city center So yes it's cheap but it's already too expensive for what it is.
In general very good!
Hostel super well placed, very friendly and not expensive!
Excellent price-quality ratio
Disappointing hostel
Extra hostel! well located, very nice home, clean and good bedding. Perfect
A horrible hostel that makes you want to shorten your stay.
friendly, very well located, cosmopolitan
Very nice hostel: well located and clean
Personal smiling, welcoming. Flat, quite humid room
Very good reception, pleasant environment, well located hostel.

Expected expectations
Good value for money
Very nice hostel!
Good location but dirty place.
For such a large enterprise it still felt homely. The Cafe'/Bistro is a great boon and the scones that they sell there are to DIE for !
Close to college

A nice place and good location
poor sleep and too many malfunctions
I like almost everything. The stuff was helpfulness. The room was clean and the bedroom very comfortable. Also I like the breakfast .
Good service.
The hostel has a true backpacker athmosphere.
Next to city centre.
Tat add were friendly and the place was get clean and efficiently run
It is a good place to explore Dublin, the staff is friendly and the Spaniards give salsilla to the kitchen, because the guiris only know how to look at the mobile ...
We stayed in a private quad with a private bathroom, and while the room was rather small, it did what it said on the tin. The hostel's location is idea for getting to and from the airport (bus stops outside - no16 bus), it's a short walk to Temple Bar etc, and you've got access to Wexford Street and Camden Street, which boast some cheap eats and bars.
Mostly the location a nad the attic room;)
Good hostel
Clean facilities, good central location
I liked that the rooms were big and you could make lots of friends.
Excellent staff very competent and very kind
Kind and helpful staff.
A group of 21 on a stag do stayed and it was perfect for what we required.
Central location
Avalon House was very clean and comfortable. The unisex washrooms were nice and had plenty of showers. The room I stayed in was nice, offering comfortable beds. I was lucky to have been in a quiet room, so I had a nice stay. Breakfast is included, though it is limited to cereal and toasts. As far as hostels go, Avalon is pretty plain, but it has a great location near Temple Bar and St Stephen Green.
The location is good, it's in walking distance to all attractions, nightlife, shopping and the bus to the airport stops right outside. The hostel does free walking tours around Dublin and they have a pub crawl which would be good for people looking to meet others. There are nice common areas and a coffee shop within the building. There is free breakfast (though I missed this!)
Everything was clearly organized, staff was really helpful. Whatever you wanted to see, you could walk to (most) sights.
Location. Staff
Its well located in dublin centre and offers free cold breakfast with a tour in the morning!
