La Palapa Hostel is a tropical garden lodge nestled into a 4 acre property bordering the forest, creek and mangrove. Wild animals traverse twice daily, once in the morning and again in the afternoon. La Palapa Hostel is a camouflaged collection of modern cabanas, rooms & suites supplemented with raised trail-ways, bridges, open-air lounges & a roof-top deck. These amenities are strategically located for up close viewing of the constant traversing of animals which occurs 24/7/365.

You can actually walk everywhere. Our accommodations are for people looking for an authentic, tropical experience. We strive to maintain both a healthy level of cleanliness & comfort in this crazy wild spot between the primeval Osa forest of Corcovado & the abundant tropical waters of the "Golfo Dulce" & Pacific ocean.

Common wildlife sightings on the property include: Four species of Monkey, Kinkajou, Raccoon, Coatis, Armadillo, Anteater, Sloth, Raptors, Toucans, Scarlet Macaw, Crocodile, Cayman, Lizards, Snakes, Beetles, Hummingbirds, Butterflies, Herons, Iguanas & various other Birds, Insects, Reptiles & Amphibians.
