Built in 1846 and turned into a backpackers hostel in 1997, we have packed this grand old building full of art, character and antiquity. Some people say it is more an art gallery or museum than a hostel. We think you will love it with our bright, sunny and spacious rooms and great facilities like FREE Wi-Fi, a movie room, a delightful patio and a fire place for those cold winter nights as well as plenty of room to kick back and relax or join in the fun with other travelers.

Fantastic
Super

I spent a top week in the hostel which is friendly and very well placed. The lounges are pleasant, the bedrooms are very good and you can work there for the hostel 14 hours a week if you stay there for a minimum of one month. This allows you to pay for the nights each time. The hostel also organizes daily activities, parties, beer pong, pub crawl, cinema...

Great
Very good hostel very well located

Well-equipped hostel (sockets at each bed, lockers that can be locked, comfortable beds), well located (view of the castle), responsive staff, the common rooms are clean and well appointed. Breakfast is cheap (£2.50) and good. Could be improved with an addition of curtains at bed level for more private space and privacy. I highly recommend this hostel.
