Palmento Grove owned and operated by an indigenous black family serves to preserve the authenticity of our Garifuna Culture.

The only access route is by way of FreshWater Creek Lagoon on a motorized boat or on a kayak. Boat Transfer can be arranged in advance by sending us a message advising of arrival time.
Cost of Boat Transfer is USD5.00 per person
Environmentally Safe Transfer by way of Kayaks are free of cost.
To facilitate easy movement into the village Bikes are also available for rent.
We also have an office on the southside of the village that transfer arrangements can be made at.

The staff/owners are lovely, the ambience was paradise. It would be nice if they can maintain the area.
This is a place to go where you want to immerse yourself with Garifuna culture and enjoy nature, so don’t except top notch facilities. The beach was within walking distance which was nice.
