Pied-A-Terre is located near the subway & Metro, local distilleries, Park Mont-Royal & Park La Fontaine, the gay village, downtown as well as several renowned restaurants such as L'Avenue, la Banquise, St-Viateur Bagel & Barraca Rhumerie & Tapas.
Just behind our building we have a grocery store that features an extended services hours open until midnight & a few blocks eastbound on Mont-Royal Avenue, is another large surface grocery store which is open 24 hours.

Excellent Service. Met and exceeded my Expectations. Highly Recommended
We had booked a private room through youth hostel.com, but when we arrived the room was already occupied. The host allowed us to stay and sleep at the hostel (which seems normal to us), on our own mattresses in a dormitory, but not optimal communication: we did not know until 9:00 p.m. how we were going to spend the night and had feel like we have to apologize for an error in the reservation system which was absolutely not our fault. After a flight in the legs it was tiring. The second night we had our private room, but basically there was only a single bed in the room when we had paid for two. Had to ask the host ourselves to provide us with a second bed, which was done, but felt that was inconvenient. Communication again very blah. We felt like we were seriously disturbing the host for services that we were paying for, which we found very strange. Cleanliness left to be desired: dirty bathroom, dog and cat run around the hostel, the cat wandered into the rooms. If you are looking for a convenient place and comfort is not a big must, this is ideal!
Jonathan is a very welcoming host, very warm, he made my stay really fun. I will return to this hostel without hesitation, clean place, smiling staff, possibility to eat at the hostel. GREAT !
