St Christopher's Inn Paris - Canal Hostel

Ideal location (close to two train stations), impeccable service. Clean and pleasant bathrooms, comfortable beds. I would gladly return and highly recommend it.

I found it very good to my taste: close to the metro; located on the edge of a canal; trees all around; a warm and festive welcome etc.

Booking online was quick and easy. The prices were affordable. Check-in went very smoothly, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The dorm was spacious and there was room to lock up your belongings. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. Comprehensive breakfast. Pleasant evening atmosphere with entertainment (e.g., beer pong tournaments).

Easy to access. Very good value for money. Decent cleanliness and a friendly common area.

Very pleasant inn

When I arrived, I discovered this incredible view of the water. Great concept. Then, I received a mega warm welcome. The team is great! The atmosphere in the evening is fantastic. Secure hostel. Everything you need is there. The girls at reception, even though they were a little sick, were really enthusiastic? Thank you, girls!

My stay went well, the room and bathroom were clean. I was surprised, however, that the women's bathroom door didn't lock, and there were men who allowed themselves to use it. Otherwise, it was very pleasant, comfortable mattress, clean showers... and even though my goal wasn't to party, it was nice to experience that weekend atmosphere again. I've had some hot and weird roommates, but hey, that's always a risk in a hostel. A few drawbacks: No information upon arrival regarding breakfast or towel rental service. The metal lockers in the room probably reassure people, but they're really hot!

Very warm welcome with a quality room, it was a pleasure to stay in this beautiful inn, well located.

Satisfied in every way. Comfort (room on the 1st floor) quiet, clean toilets and showers, friendly and helpful staff, very good location for its environment and close to transport. Hearty breakfast.

The person in charge of reception was very attentive, offering me a room on the 2nd floor to replace the one that had been reserved for me on the 6th due to the unavailability of the elevator. Too bad that this elevator was only usable by the cleaning staff? On Friday evening one of the toilets for homes on the 2nd floor was blocked. On Saturday evening a second one was also blocked. Too bad. For the rest, no problem.

The room was very clean. The doors to the hallway and bathroom creaked a lot and we were right next to them. So it was very noisy. A floor reserved for women is reassuring. The bathroom has three showers and four toilets. It would be better the other way around because we had to wait a long time. Shower gel and hairdryer available, very nice.

We chose this hostel because it was close to the places we were going to visit. We were 4 friends and we really enjoyed it. The breakfast in particular is plentiful and varied! We will be back!

Also one of the shared bathrooms, 2 taps out of 4 broken, flush very slow to fill, so quickly clogged. Apart from that very good!

Luggage storage is chargeable and only accessible with coins, no bath towels, you need large padlocks which must be purchased at reception and the reception staff are not very welcoming. There was a problem with the allocation of beds. The rest on top! Cleanliness++

Good welcome; clear explanations; possibility of arriving late; very clean and room made; what is needed (soap towel); and despite my fears (a youth hostel during the tourist season and on top of that a 4th of July... I was scared!) it was quiet and I slept well; and there weren't too many noisy "early risers" :)

Overall pretty good

The hostel is a bit far from everything. It has the advantage of having many advantages (bar, separate toilets and showers, small cages to put things under the beds) nevertheless the window of our room was broken, the people around us rude were going back and forth at night , spoke loudly so that I hardly slept.

I had a great stay. I went to Paris to do a fashion internship, and I needed inexpensive and accessible accommodation. The best is very charming. The place is clean, and is cleaned frequently. The people are pleasant, polite and very kind.

It's a pretty nice hostel, in juxtaposition to a bar. The atmosphere is great, there is a majority of young people aged 20-35. However in terms of cleanliness, it leaves something to be desired. When I got back into the dorm, there was a horrible musty smell and other things that I don't know. It was really unbearable. The staircase to climb to the top of the bunk bed is not practical I failed to fall 4-5 times. The storage was similar to cages, it is not nice for those who sleep given the noise it caused. The showers deserve an improvement, when you open the water (which stops after 10 seconds), the shower column will drop. There is no measure to retain the water, which then wets the entire - miniscule - part. But don't forget that I paid 13th, the price / quality ratio is there and is it enough for one night? The staff are quite friendly, breakfast is free only for those who book on the site of the hostel, which I did not do. He still gave me the breakfast ticket; advice bring out your most beautiful smiles!

I had a very good night at the Auberge de Jeunesse St Christopher 's Inn Paris Canal. I recommend it to my young children if they need to come and sleep in Paris. Very welcome and very clean. To recommend . Hubert.

The dining room is not equipped, you can't find a fork or a glass to drink again the room is not clean, the microwave is broken, apart from that the rest is good

The hostel is not bad not too expensive 20 €, but there are some receptionists who do not speak French well even if I speak English, but I prefer to express myself in French since I am in France, then they did not propose the breakfast that is included. The elevator does not work, the lockers are small and deporrvu a key or cadena and put 8 people in a room is still disturbing and everyone his song, but hey. Good luck

The floor of the room was not clean. And especially the breakfast which still costs 5 euros is of poor quality. Nothing to do with the continental breakfast announced on the signs. On the contrary, no hot drinks other than coffee, stale bread, cheese, ham and poor quality fruit salad ...

I give a 9 out of 10, in all aspects.

Noisy, uncomfortable and dirty

In fact I am quite satisfied except on 2 things: Why are breakfasts not included in the price when booking on the site: https://www.aubergesdejeunesse.com/rev?rev=DORMS-10048781 while they are on the site: https://www.st-christophers.co.uk/ we could see there a lack of transparency and discrimination ... (different treatment depending on whether you are French or Anglo-Saxon). Moreover, the hostel being located in France it seems to me that the staff (especially at reception) should also know how to speak French and not only English or Spanish ...

Setting up the shower way (towels, champion, soap ....)

Good home, nice staff, good meals, beds and blankets are cozy and the place itself (parc de la villette) is certainly a place where I would like to live

dormitory at 12: large room, secure, clean as shower and toilet, comfortable bed, large locker under the bed to secure his business. Near subway, no noise at night. In short, really very well.

I am very happy with the weekend that I spent at home! A great welcome, very organized and a great atmosphere! I know now where I will return for my stays in Paris!

I was in a dormitory of 12 but had a good sleep. Very appreciable the curtain that allows to have a little privacy. Lockers for safe business are convenient. Very nice location. I recommend it for young people (bar and box downstairs). Not tested the atmosphere, or the breakfast, I only went to sleep and it was.

I had left a reservation for the 5 nights in a female room and to get there my reservation was not in system and they changed my room daily.

Very friendly staff

I was happily surprised by the location and organization of your hostel. I was not expecting something so good and all the staff were very welcoming. When I arrived at the reception the other spoke French perfectly, although she was Spanish.

Everything was very clean, there was privacy, very complete breakfasts I recommend, interesting activities to meet new people who are also just like you, traveling. And very welcoming. No negative comment. All very well.

The property is clean, always alive, the beds are relatively comfortable, the showers hot and all the equipment is like new. The hostel is very easily accessible by subway and there is plenty to do around: walks, restaurants, cafes, shops, etc. The neighborhood is quite calm. The reception and security staff are welcoming and smiling

Bilingual and heterogeneous staff

Pleasant neighborhood, especially the extreme proximity of the basin and the canal; serious security staff and very helpful; well maintained premises; courteous reception but sometimes dry when the length of the queue pushes to go fast; tendency to overheat the dormitories; common parts and tlinge own; material defects quickly repaired. I will not comment on the bar and the club, not being there.

Stay organized to 8 people. Pros: nice restaurant / bar, spacious room and magnetic keys ++. -: Dormitory with dirty walls (suspicious traces), people without genes in the toilet / shower (-18) and difficulty understanding at home compared to the down payment.

The hostel is of a friendly welcome with a bar and fast food convenient in a warm setting. Small flat on the iron lockers in the dormitories that are noisy to handle. And it would be nice to change the seats of the toilets that are plastic enough used. Otherwise the hostel is very well placed in a very nice area.

The staff is very welcoming, the hostel is clean as well as the rooms. There are curtains for each bed which leaves a little personal space, there are also sockets and a lamp. Very good stay and the hostel is located 3 minutes from the metro lines it is very convenient.

To come with a group of underage students, the staff do their utmost to find accommodation solutions. Warm atmosphere, very good location near the canal. The rooms are very correct. The cleanliness of the premises is satisfactory. The renovation of the toilets will have to be done without delay. A flat all the same. when the catering space is reserved, customers come for dinner are confined in a basement atmosphere poorly ventilated nightclub and especially with a deafening music (exceeding 88 decibels).

We had a great time in this hostel, the dorm was very good and for a price quite reasonable. Ambiance guaranteed down and quiet in the dorms, breakfast available in the morning and staff quite nice, it was really a very good stay! To renew on occasion!

Recommended Application

Clean property, great location. Lively, very welcoming staff. Calm. The nights are extremely calm. The proximity of the basin of Colette participates in the quiet place. I recommend without problem.

The only pity is that the people at the reception don't speak a word of French. I understand that they use English, but all the same, in Paris ..... A minimum for these welcoming people to speak a few words of French. I felt like I was abroad !! Otherwise RAS. Laurence

It was a good hostel and affordable. The breakfast wasn't for free though and we had to pay for it. However, the stay was quite good.

I have to face the facts. This is the best choice for this price range in Paris! Very easily accessible from the metro stops (three lines nearby, towards the center in a very short time) The Inn is beautiful, bright and spotlessly clean. The rooms offer a nice space and a curtain allows to have a real intimacy (!) In the bunk. The reception is efficient, polyglot but a bit indifferent (euphemism), for the rest it lasts only a few minutes and does not affect the stay. The security is maximum (The magnetic card only allows access to its floor and dormitory where there are lockers as large as half of the bed: two large suitcases and two bags can easily enter) My dormitory was not can be more calm and respectful. I was probably lucky but it may be that the reception has the task of bringing together people who have come alone to a dormitory (where possible) because nobody seemed to know each other. Sheets, pillows and duvets free and clean! The breakfast is NOT understood (an ambiguity remains on the site) but its cost is ridiculous (4euros) for a choice which covers very largely this price (even if very frugal and rough) one finds there: cereals, Bread, spreads, cottage cheese, eggs (not super fresh), juices, cheese, ham, coffee ... so it's fine for lack of time where your budget is tight. Otherwise, go for an outdoor breakfast. The shower is comfortable and very hot! The general atmosphere of brewing permanent language is very comforting, the bar is totally interesting. (there is a nightclub too, which I do not know anything for those interested) Two or three defects that said: -The lockers, certainly very large and useful make an incredible noise for a place where sleeps. -The bed frame of the top is larger than the mattress .. personal business rain to be expected on the floor below. -The radically misogynist vigil that gives me the dirty impression of being lucky to be a man. -the frenzy with which the hostel tries to make you buy almost everything. (Advertising gently deposited on your mattress ...) It's my foot on the ground.

-Assez récente, regrette néamoins le manque de suivi d'un manager pour l'identification et réparation des petits problèmes techniques (barre de lit dévisée, tombant à chaque passage, le femme de ménage ne peut l'ignorer, lampe douche cassée...j'imagine à 5 ans!) -petit déjeuner non inclus dans le prix (4€) alors qu'il apparaissait comme compris, il eut fallu s'incrire via le site direct bookbeds -personen ou presque ne parle français, sauf à l'accueil. L'on peut regretter le manque d'effort face à la formation linguistique des jeunes employés 'ex stage de langue obligatoire et payé !!)

I appreciated the setting, the availability of the reception however I do not recommend if you need a quiet night, I was awake half a dozen times between girls who start to vomit and sleep on the floor, a drunkard (Dutch) who hits the beds and asks to fight (he will eventually find one to put it in his place), and very noisy neighbors copulating under my bed. The problem is not safety but the bar downstairs ... Shame on you if you plan to come with your family ...

Stayed here for 3 nights in a dorm room. Very modern and clean. I liked the location, although not as cute or charming as other neighborhoods. I liked having Belushi's right there for a quick bite or a drink. Lots of amenities close by like grocery stores and the metro. Staff were helpful and nice. Breakfast in the morning was above average from some of the ones I have experienced. Our floor was only girls with like 500 toilets and showers which was great.

I liked the curtains on the bed that gave good privacy. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. The bar area was lively and the hostel organised special events.

This place is very nice and happening. They had a welcome party organized in the Hostel which was wonderful. I think almost every night they have some events going on which is like very cool to meet new people. Metro station is just 5mins away from this place and we took the metro to visit all attractions. So this place was very convenient for us to go around the city.
