Sunshine Hostel

Absolutely not. The owner doesn't care about his hostel and just wants his money. He didn't refund me for the three nights I had to spend at another hostel because of his bedbug problem. What's more, some people had their bags stolen one night by a thief!

Receptionist made us wait 1 hour standing before letting us drop off our belongings because she was waiting for a response from her manager; then made us pay a price without knowing how to explain the amount. We were then able to see the manager who welcomed us better and explained everything. There are 3 showers, one with hot water. The beds are close to each other without a screen or anything else to separate them. In the evening when I went to bed I noticed that I had no blanket, no towel or even a pillow. No breakfast as indicated in the ad. The hostel is still quite well located close to the center but not well indicated (you have to put the address of the advertisement in the GPS then ring the hostel intercom, then go up to the 1st floor of the building ).

catastrophic arrival, 40 minutes of waiting because "computer slowed down" while the hostess was on the phone with her manager. no breakfast the next day my friend did not have a towel or a warm blanket. I would add that the cleanliness is not there... we stayed 1 night instead of 4

Hostel whose comfort is spartan but inexpensive. Pleasant staff. Nevertheless problem of cleanliness and broken furniture (sink, flush... No breakfast included as indicated in the advertisement.

The hostel is located very close to the train station and not far from the center of Palermo. The amenities are okay. The price is also very advantageous. I recommend for low budget travellers!

The hostel is super well placed, well decorated, great terrace for having breakfast in the sun or other. Very friendly staff and other travelers! Cleanliness ok, rooms spacious enough and clean sheets. The only downside is the showers: there is no pressure and the hot water is not really intermittent…

I had a great time there mainly because the staff and the travelers there were very sweet and welcoming :) the beds, kitchen and the bathrooms were pretty basic but everything went smoothly there

The atmosphere and hospitality are incredible! full of meeting great people. Be careful though if you are sensitive to noise you will need to provide earplugs.

Ok hostel and staff apart from the bathrooms situations. Cleanliness isn’t on point and they could use an upgrade.

Very good hotel

(26M alone, apr 2022) Sunshine Hostel is small but the essential is here. Pros: The people are absolutely lovely, the place is clean, the balcony is perfect on sunny days, the spot is perfect near the train station, the centro storico and the harbour. Cons: The place can be cold and the street can be loud so have your earplugs, WiFi is not that great, 2 showers but 1 was broken when I was there. Tips: Via Maqueda for street food (check out cannoli & Co), piazza magione to drink and rest on the grass. In total, it’s a great place for that price ! Thank you very much for the stay !

I had to stay two nights but it was so noisy that I only stayed one night! I was unlucky because the girls with whom I spent the night made noise until two o'clock in the morning on the small terrace. There was no one at the front desk and no one answering the phone when I left, I often travel to hostel but it was not a good experience it is the first time I do not stay the time!

Nice breakfast, with a very cute terrace. Great staff, so kind and helpful. Location is perfect, its close to everything.. The place, overall, is clean and comfy.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Bright and clean. Comfortable beds. Great location, near transportations. Surrounded by good restaurants and bars. Will visit again!
