Iguana Hostel

I really love the location on the square and the view from the roof is amazing!! We can see the sunset! The hostel is next to the food market and the craft market too. You can walk quicly to the centre. The staff is amazing! Very friendly and helpful! They know how to cook a delicious and varied breakfast! That's a good way to socialize with people too.

I LOVE iguana hostel! Its like a home away from home, and as soon as i walked in i felt welcomed into the family. The hostel is small enough that you get to know everyone that stays there, and if youre lucky you'll get to eat some of the most delicious curry in the world thats cooked by the staff :) the beds are comfy and the breakfasts are super delicous! Nice warm showers and most importantly awesome vibes from the staff that work there...best place to stay in san cris for sure :) :)

It was my second time in Iguana hostel and again stayed longer than I planned. It is amazing place, good vibe, very nice, helpful and friendly staff, great breakfast, good location. I just love this place and San Cristobal!

A beautiful, clean and cozy Hostel, with an amazing atmosphere and interesting People from all over the World. I felt like hanging out with my family. It has not been my Last Time at iguana.!

The owner, Rudy, was incredibly helpful and is a wonderful resource for information about San Cristobal and its surroundings. The wifi worked really well. Breakfast is included.

Very simple hostel

The staff were friendly and helpful and very keen to provide maps and information as well as book tours. The wifi worked in our room. The room was clean and comfortable

The atmosphere. The host and the workers were able to create a all inclusive atmosphere that made it one of the best hostels i've stayed in around the world. The amenities were great with 2 large full bathrooms that allowed you to have a relaxing private bathroom which all travelers would appreciate. Both the host and the workers gave me a multitude of places to eat and venture out to which turned out great. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

Everything. It has such a chilled out vibe and is perfect for the solo traveller to meet people! The staff are always real nice and friendly, and i actually ended up staying for much longer than planned...as do so many people that come through!

We loved this hostel. It has a great atmosphere, it's really nice to hang out in with the outdoor common area and hammocks. Staff and other backpackers there were really friendly, and the staff give you lots of information about the area and trips and excursions. It's right in the centre of town too.

I had such a wonderful time at the Iguana Hostel!! The hostel is located close to the stunning food-market and it takes as well just 5 minutes to go to the central park. The staff is amazing,they are like family! I think the most beautiful about this hostel is the amtosphere! so many times we cooked together and always everybody is invited to eat,even when they just arrived 5 minutes ago. for sure,it's not the cheapest hostel,but the breakfeast is included and it's one of the best I ever had!!

I have been awasome days in Iguana. The atmosfere is great, they have a nice gadeen with hammocks, good music and nice people. The staff is simpatic and they make a very wonderful breakfast. Every time you can find people for talk, drink, play games and spend amazing time

great staffs and owners! they are always welcoming and ready to help the guests when we need. And the atmosphere of iguana made me comfortable like staying at home. it has a color of itself here. i will go there again if i have a chance. feel sad about staying only one day cuz of my plan.

I can't say enough good things about this hostel! Once you stay here, you are part of the Iguana family and are treated as such. From big family style dinners and BBQs to insider tips on the area from owner Rudy to late night trivia, this place feels like home away from home on the road. And as a single woman traveling in Central America, this was a refreshing stopping point for my travels. It has a convenient central location (near artisan and food markets, 10 mins walk from main zocolo), incredibly friendly and helpful staff, hot showers and strong wifi, and good vibes all around. I know I will keep coming back to the special community that has built up around Rudy and this fabulous hostel. Thank you for everything!

Of all the hostels I've stayed at around the world there are only a few that stick out in my mind as the best experiences I've had. This is one of them. The hostel by itself is worth visiting. Great rooftop views, comfortable beds, the hammocks are in excellent shape, a computer and free wifi, SPACIOUS SHOWERS and on and on But this hostel has more. It seems to has some mystic aura that draws only the most interesting people. The staff is great as is expected but they go above and beyond which feeds this aura. Between all the events the staff puts on in a matter of minutes that casual acquaintance becomes a life long friend. The night you spend becomes one of the highlights of your journey and the center piece to your story. You may even find true love, who knows. A great stay and an even greater memory. Thanks Iguana

I loved staying at this hostel and would recommend it for everyone! It felt like home because the staff create a great atmosphere. The breakfast was awesome and I even got it for free when I arrived in the morning. The kitchen is perfectly equipped. There is plenty space to relax and on the roof top you can combine it with a stunning view over the center. Everything is reachable by foot within 20 minutes at maximum. Even tough I am not very talkative I got in touch with everyone really fast! I have never felt safer in a hostel.
