In 2006, a group of wanderlust hippies in Eugene dreamed of a place to welcome travellers of all backgrounds to the epicentre of hippie culture, the Whiteaker. Thus, the Eugene Lodge and Intl Hostel was born.

Welcome to the funkiest, freshest, grooviest place you'll find in all the US, staffed by travellers like you from all over the globe!

We believe in the power of community, and harness the powers of wind, rain, art, and music to present you with an unforgettable lodging experience. Whether you're looking to kick back in our rec room, read 100-year-old newspapers, vibe out at our communal-instrument jam sessions, or get crafty yourself with our free art supplies, you'll find lifetime friends to do it with!

Social and fun

A full kitchen and dining area, recreation room with a giant projector screen and unlimited instruments, washer/dryer, gorgeous backyard with outdoor stage, living room, and art on every wall. Rock out here, or at the arcade bar Blair Alley just 2 streets away, or come back and kick it with our friendly staff.

You'll be 1 hour from skiing, and 1 hour from the gorgeous Cascade Mountains up the Mackenzie River. Rent an Arcimoto to get you there, or take our bus system to anywhere in the county all day long.

In times of uncertainty and your peace of mind, we recommend you select a flexible rate with free cancellation. If your plans change, you can always cancel free of charge until the cancellation expires.

We cannot accept same-day reservations after 9:00 pm PST.
Guests must be 18 years old and over.
The Hostel accepts reservations from travellers only. Local residents of Eugene/Springfield, and the Lane County area are not eligible to stay.
No pets allowed. Guests with service animals are welcome. We require service animals handlers book private rooms as our dorms are not able to accommodate animals.
Check-in is between 3pm-10pm. We will not be able to serve you if you arrive outside our check-in window, unless you communicate prior. Late fees may be assessed for these special situations (which go directly to the work trader helping you). We reserve the right to refuse check in past 1am.
