Hostel Cressy

My boys and I were very pleased with this hostel, which we consider 5 stars. It is by far the best hostel we have stayed in since the beginning of our long trip. Many thanks to the only woman we met among the staff, who went to the pharmacy to buy us something to help with our intestinal problems. They are quality people, kind, smiling, and helpful. Thank you very much!

Very good location, the rooms and bathrooms are clean. They have air conditioning (they charge €10 per night) and the rooms have a large safe that fits more than one computer. They let you leave your bags on checkout day if you want to walk around the city before leaving. The access system is easy, and there's someone at the front desk from morning until midnight. The only bad thing we had was that on the second-to-last night, our access card got blocked and we couldn't get in, but since there was someone at the front desk, getting in wasn't a problem.

The room is clean. The price is correct. The hotel is ideally located near the train station. The downside concerns the location of the toilet which encourages slipping if a shower has been taken.

A pleasant welcome from the director. Clean and well maintained. Unfortunately the bed mattresses are of poor quality and there is no soundproofing...so the place is very noisy. We hear everything!

Very pleasant, attentive and caring staff, only flaw: the lack (absence) of common space and a kitchen.

Youth hostel very well placed: 20mins walk from the Colosseum, Trevis fountain; 5mins walk from termini train station. No street noise at night. Many restaurants and shops nearby. Youth hostel with a great atmosphere: very friendly staff, very good advice. Very clean youth hostel: state of the bathrooms and impeccable toilets, state of the rooms as well. Very comfortable youth hostel: bedding in very good condition, free wifi, air conditioning included in shared rooms, no curfew, accessible by lift. I highly recommend this place, it's crazy!!!

Very central hostel. On the 5th floor by antique lift. Clean dorms, decent showers. No locker for luggage. Very complicated to have to trust strangers, without reservation. The manager can store our laptops and small valuables in a closed cupboard during our absences from the room. Nice atmosphere with some occupants Problem with others (endless and too loud telephone conversations) packing your suitcase at 4am, slamming the door….etc… In short, life what

Extremely clean place, the people at the reception were super attentive and helpful, great mattresses, towels and bedding too. And the location is perfect, about 7 minutes walk from the main station in Rome that connects you everywhere. For those who like to walk, you can go to the coliseum and the Vatican on foot. For those who don't like it, just take the bus, in the other tourist spots you can walk everything. Very good!!!

I'm really used to hostels etc. Usually there's no problem. But this time, the women managing the place was really agressive and yelled at me for nothing. The rooms are clean and the cleaning lady looked nice. But If you want to be yelled at, and begin your vacation in Rome in a bad mood, go to cressy Hotel.

Good hostel, welcome and full services

Correct room very well located in the immediate vicinity (5 min max walk) from the Termini station. Automatic badge doors a bit noisy at night. Nice and friendly staff. Rather an inn where to stay than a place where we meet.

We had a good stay at this hostel my friend and I. The staff is very friendly and patient, the rooms like the bathroom are clean. But we were scared at night because our roommate was noisy, she was screaming alone and so on. and the reception did nothing. An argument also broke out between two travelers at the inn.

The location is great and the room nice. Very good bed, shower water flows very little but the rooms are clean. Beware of additional charges (Rome tax of 3 euros per night)

The hostel was nice and included towels and soap which was a nice extra. The room had a sink, fan, and lockers.

Great location, very close to central station. I was very happily surprised by the friendliness of the staff, after having read some bad reviews. The elderly man checking me in was an absolute delight, he made me feel right at home. Also the other staff members helped me out a lot. The rooms were clean and although the facilities are shared with more people I never had to wait.

I liked the magnetic card for entering the building and the hostel, it was comfortable.

It was very close to Termini Station. The train I needed was sold out for the night so I needed a place to stay. The owner was very helpful, and the facilities were clean and safe. I recommend it to anyone. Good location!

Good location - right next to the station - so its easy to get to.

Travelling as a girl on my own for the very first time I was nervous but I felt very safe here. Staff were lovely, room and bathroom was clean and plenty of facilities and great wifi! Really easy to find from the Termini station.

Each room has a fan which makes the temperature (just about) bearable in mid-June. Closing the window eliminates all light and sound so you can get a good sleep so long as it's not too hot outside.The shared fridge was a nice surprise. I wasn't so keen on the idea of sharing 2 showers/toilets between 11 rooms of people but it worked out OK. For the great price offered there is no reason to complain!

The staff working there were friendly and helpful, and I liked the character of the place itself.

I especially liked the awesome and very friendly staff! I was travelling alone and it was always a delight talking to them, after a long day of walking around in Rome! Also, the maid was very pleasant, sweet and friendly as well. The place is average when it comes to cleanliness, and they provide free soap for each guest (if you're travelling with cheap airlines this might be good to know!). Cressy is located near Termini and is easy to find. There's a street market right across the street in the mornings, where you can get delicious, cheap fruit (and vegetables and a lot of other stuff). I stayed in an all-female dorm room that had five beds, although there were never more than three of us. With five people it might be a little crowded, but for a short stay I would think it is manageable. Although there was no air conditioning in my room it never got too hot. We slept with an opened window every night and the temperature was very nice, and also we didn't have problems with mosquito bites etc. although the lights were on for quite a long time. After a change of plans with my Rome visit I had to find a new budget accomodation really last minute. I only booked my stay at Cressy a week or so before I got there and am very happy that my stay turned out to be a very pleasant experience instead of an catastrophic last minute emergency stay! In conclusion, I have only positive things to say about my stay at Cressy and I highly recommend it to everyone who is looking for a budget accomodation near Termini!! This is a hotel. Needs to be emphasized. Nice beds, nice bathrooms They don't offer very much but it's a nice, quiet place to stay

The staff was friendly... but that was it. Price was below average, and this could be a good news, but still overpriced for what you get..
