Its a unique boat hostel.
The Red Boat Mälaren is an old Göta Canal steamer and its first name was Sätra, bulit 1914 for Ångfartygs AB Sätra at the shipyard in Sjötorp.
1977 was the last trip for "Mälaren" ex Sätra. Since then she has changed looks a few times and been modernised.
We expanded 1998 with another ship called M/S RAN we have both private rooms with bathrooms and more hostel dorm rooms with shared bathrooms.

We are staffed 24 hours, 7 days a week and will do everything we can to make your stay in Stockholm unforgettable. With the central location you are in walking distance to most activities in town, within a few minutes you can reach the Old Town and area great shopping Södermalm.
