So Cool Hostel Porto

Great stay at this hostel! Everything was really great: super clean, large, practical lockers for storing your belongings, and a super comprehensive breakfast (a treat to start the morning). All for a more than reasonable price. Honestly, it's hard to beat! I'll definitely come back.

The place is welcoming and close to the entrance. The only thing missing is some privacy in the rooms, at least with curtains. A couple in my room opened the shutters at 7 a.m. to stretch. It's fine, but the curtain would have allowed me to sleep a little more.

Everything was excellent except for the luggage collection. They should partner with a company to facilitate their transport to travelers. Reception and breakfast were very late, they should start earlier.

This is the first time I've stayed in a youth hostel and really nothing to complain about! The receptionist is adorable, the common areas are clean, the rooms are superb

The hostel is really spotless and comfortable, it is just 3 minutes from the Carolina Michaelis stop and in 10 minutes you are in the center. Furthermore Susana, the owner was really super nice and always available. Structure absolutely recommended!

Nice hostel, well located, very nice staff, large rooms, only drawback: the breakfast hours (8:30-10:00) which could be extended as well as the closing of the kitchen and bathrooms.

The staff is very welcoming and concerned about the well-being of newcomers. The dormitories are spacious and even quite beautiful (the one we were in looked like a Haussmanian apartment). Breakfast is offered, and we eat very well! Nothing to say about the cleanliness of the showers and toilets. Note that the luggage deposit costs only €1 per day (in addition to lockers in the dormitory in which a medium-sized suitcase can fit). Only small downside: not quite located in the center, even if a metro station is 4 minutes away, and otherwise for those who don't mind walking, the Douro is just half an hour away. In any case, we warmly recommend the establishment!

We spent 2 nights at the hostel. Welcomed; everything is simple and well indicated. Just a small downside: the windows in the showers / toilets are not opaque enough.

The manager of the hostel refused to let us go to the bathroom before leaving when I had to change my pants because they were broken. It's absurd, we had to leave quickly, I've never seen that. Unhelpful and false kindness. It was very cold in the room. Otherwise the hostel is well placed and the room good!

Very good hostel, very clean and nicely arranged. Very nice team and good advice. Breakfasts and towels provided. Close to all amenities, and downtown in 15 minutes walk. I recommend.

I spent a night at So Cool Hostel and I’ve been amazed by the quality of this place. The hostel is lovely, clean, with everything you need! People working there are really nice and helpful too. I couldn’t have asked for more. It was definitely perfect :-)
