It’s not hard to find beauty in a marble city built on a lagoon, but away from the obvious sights and monuments, across bridges, down backstreets and into secret squares, you’ll discover the hidden corners where Venetians hang out. Because if you want to find the real Venice, you have to get lost.
Generator Venice stands on the waterfront of the island of Giudecca, one short stop on the Vapporetto from Piazza San Marco. Our Venice hotel was originally a warehouse, so the building blends' history, character and contemporary design features.
Inside you’ll find luxurious mosaic floors, a glass chandelier and an imposing stone fireplace. Public spaces are split into intimate and open-plan areas – all surrounding the bar and café.

Every room has a view of either the gardens, Lido, Grande Canal or the iconic San Marco.
With regular events, this hip oasis caters to a variety of music tastes, set to the backdrop of the gorgeous Grande Canal

Pleasant stay
For a first youth hostel we would recommend generator Venice! Dormitories reserved for girls very well! Clean each one to his space. Shower very practical. Restaurant very good and cheap! Super location! Nice view of Venice from the room

This hostel is very good. Its location allows you to quickly access tourist spots while retreating to a quiet island for the night. The staff is especially at your service, answering all your questions and suggesting the best places and how to get there. They also ensure that people respect the calm and serenity of other guests. The only downside is the layout of showers and toilets that are clearly insufficient for the number of users and there is no hand soap, nothing to dry hands and often no toilet paper. As a result, a girl got seized and everyone had the flu the following days. The showers certainly lack ergonomics and privacy! In addition, this hostel has no common kitchen and does not consume food that does not come from their coffee. But overall, it is an excellent hostel.
