Great and Cheap Hostels in Munich
A&O Hostels is the most central and inexpensive choice for backpackers in Munich. That is why Munich A&O Hostels are a favourite among groups, backpackers, solo travellers, families, school classes or associations.
The A&O Muenchen Hackerbruecke opened in April 2006 and in May 2010 the lobby was expanded. The hotel has different rooms, all with their own balcony, shower or bathtub. On the rooftop of the house there is a bar with a comfy terrace, which invites guests to relax and take in the breath-taking view over the roofs of Munich.
Good location, very clean, but the staff is very weak
The location is good, the cable car passes in front of the hostel. However, the hostel lacks staff, I arrived and the girl at the reception could not answer me at all about the city, I even asked if they recommended someone to schedule a tour to the dachau, the girl told me to look on the internet, of course I can look for it on the internet, but I wanted a recommendation from someone reliable and who wouldn't tear my hide financially speaking. Many hostels I've stayed in organize free tours and paid tours, this one has none of that and they don't even know how to inform. Otherwise, the accommodations are clean and decent. There are a lot of noisy teenagers, if you are a light sleeper it is not advisable.

Worth the money
The location of the hotel is really great. Well connected to every other tourist place. Room had a balcony and it was really good. Neat, spacious and worth the money. Friendly staff and good facilities
Good but noisy
Dormitory clean, bedding correct, but no soundproofing or ventilation: difficult to sleep by 35 ° with the noise of cars and other rooms. Receptionist moderately friendly, unaware of discounts applicable to Interrail and who has difficulty applying them.
Hostel convenient but not extremely comfortable
The beds are good and the sheets are clean but we can not say so many showers that pass instantly from hot to cold and that go badly. In addition some plugs do not work and there was a quilt in our room. The cleaning staff does not respect privacy and enters the rooms without warning. But the hostel is conveniently located 5 minutes by tram from the train station and 30 minutes walk from the city center.

This hotel is a few tram stops from the main train station (5 stops), there is no drink offered, nor breakfast as some hotels can offer it ... To book I took it a little late. For this reason, I went to this hotel otherwise I would have booked in a hotel closer to the station among others ....

You get what you paid
This hostel is actually a very good and reasonable solution for such price. Don’t expect much comfort or luxury. They clean Daily, although it’s got the appearance of an unmaintaned building: rust and funny smells. Nonetheless, the basics were fine: a bed to sleep and an acceptable place to take a bath. I think it’s worth it for very tight budgets.

Large hostel on several floors, impersonal style. Very good breakfast, hearty. Large individual rooms clean. Noisy with young adult revelers.

Première auberge de jeunesse et agréablement surpris. Le confort était présent et surpris de la présence du bar à la réception avec des prix non très différent d´un bar lambda à Munich. Nous n´avons pas profité du refectoire. Sa situation géographique est idéale puisque nous avons acheté aucun ticket de métro !

This hostel in Munich is close to public transportation so It is easy to visit the local attractions.
Missing lock on restroom door. You were only able to lock less than half of the lockers. Fortunately, we got functional lockers.
Ordinary hostel which can accomondate the basic needs of the simple traveller
The staff is not nice, the washing machine did not work, no atmosphere, the "common parts" are in the basement and you have to walk 1 / 2h to reach the city center. There are nevertheless some restaurants not far away.

Ideal location near the train station, and the metro. Good atmosphere, the bar offers very attractive rates and can meet the world. I highly recommend !

We spent two nights in dormitory of 8 people. Very good, clean, pillow, duvet, bath towel provided without paying extra. Bathroom small but functional. To redo! The breakfasts are good and at will. The convenient location

wir waren zwei Mädchen ( 17, 18 Jahre) und waren in einem 8 Bett Zimmer mit 6 Männern untergebracht. Die Toiletten und Waschgelegenheiten waren schmutzig. Wir würden niemals mehr dort übernachten.

Accueil sympathique, chambres propres et agréables (doubles) , j'attends de voir l'organisation lorsque je viendrai avec mes 47 élèves en décembre et si la répartition demandée des chambres sera bien celle donnée en amont.Bon petit déjeuner.

Could not have assessed atmosphere, amenities and security. Pretty good overall. A bit noisy during the night (people not very discreet in the enclosure of the establishment). Why this obligation to pay in cash ??? This system lacks soupless

The A&O München Hauptbahnhof was opened in 2005 right next to the Central Station. The small hostel in the city centre has a quiet atmosphere and modern rooms, almost all equipped with their own balcony.

Right next to the Hauptbanhof and the Oktoberfest grounds and the room was much nicer and cleaner than I had expected for a Hostel. The staff were friendly enough and helpful.

Our stay went well, the calm and cleanliness of the dormitory were at the meeting.
The hostel is well accessible, what we missed was a clean kitchen and the impossibility to watch the match of Munich against Manchester in the common room
problem with the tram on arrival
I think it would be useful to point out that there are two tram stops starting with Agnes ... If it comes out at first the distance is long especially in rainy weather. That's what happened to me and I was angry !! It might be interesting to point out to new visitors that you have to go down to Agnes dishes. For the rest everything is good

Clean room for 6 people, you have to pay the sheets when you are in the bunk beds ... practice the bathroom in the room, no need to share with other people on the landing! The big downside would be the trains against low ..

We are a family of 4 people two adults and two children arrived at the hostel late in the evening the reception was excellent and good willingness to help us, we found the rooms clean and tidy, even though ours was noisy being on the ground floor . I would recommend it as well as backpackers also to groups and families. Good location and services (metro, tram, bus) to reach the center of Monaco.

-Schöne moderne Zimmer -für Hostel sind Doppelbetten allerdings sehr sehr ungeeignet -Die Reinigungskräfte hätten gerne einmal häufiger staubsaugen dürfen -Matratzen sind leider unter aller sau!!! Wir waren zu dritt für 4 Nächte dort und jeder von uns ist
