About the place
Hostel
Opened in the 1960s as a residential educational center and renovated in 2009, Hostel Lug2 is located in the Residential Complex Lug, just over 5 minutes from the city center of Lugo and near the natural beauty that the river Miño has to offer. We have a total of three accommodation areas and can accommodate a maximum of 82 people.
Our hostel is also an educational project where young people from different places have a place, since it is home to the facilities of the Lug Open Factory.
Social and fun
We have an innovation centre inside the hostel, the Lug Open Factory (www.lugopenfactory.com), Cultural Agenda, and many innovative activities made with European funds that give a lot of youthful life to our hostel.
We develop European projects with young people from many countries and we are specialized in youth business development as well as the development of prototypes, ideas and projects in our incubator and in our fablab for free. We also develop creative events called hackathons under the trade name of Creative Jams where young people from various countries meet in an ideation activity.

Surroundings
Hostel Lug2 is situated in a quiet and safe neighborhood. We are within walking distance to the Cathedral and the ancient Roman wall. There are a ton of bars and restaurants nearby. Not too far away you can find the River Miño where you can take advantage of the tranquility nature has to offer and the amazing views of Lugo.
We collaborate directly with various sports institutions and we have specialized in climbing activities since in Lugo we have the largest climbing wall in Spain which is very close to our hostel.
