The welcome in the evening, the ambience in the pub, the convenience of the rooms and garden and car park (we were travelling with dogs), the proximity to Newark showground.
A very welcoming place that made you feel like family. Food was excellent, breakfasts made to order and the pub was always busy with a variety of entertainment on offer. We especially liked the quiz...

Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast cooked exactly as requested. Rooms had good drinks selection. Would definitely stay again
