Amnis House, our student accommodation in Cork, is situated on Western Road in Cork City.
We are minutes from University College Cork and under half an hour from CIT, Cork College of Commerce and St John’s Central College. Perfect!

All of our 190 en-suite rooms are purpose-built for students, so you can focus on your studies and socialising in surroundings designed for you.

Additional Information

Unless the context otherwise requires, words and expressions defined in your Licence to Reside (“Licence”) shall have the same meanings in this Cancellation Policy. Bookings made prior to 31 July 2021 If you sign your Licence to Reside prior to 31 July 2021 and you have not collected the keys to your Room, you may cancel your Licence, by giving notice in writing or by e-mail to the Residence Manager at the Property, with no penalty up until 31 July 2021. Once we receive such a notice, we will confirm receipt, cancel your Licence and will refund your Advance Room Fee Payment of €300.00.

Bookings made on or after 31 July 2021 If you sign your Licence to Reside on or after 31 July 2021 and you have not collected the keys to your Room, you may cancel your Licence, by giving notice in writing or by e-mail to the Residence Manager at the Property, at any time within the period of fourteen (14) days of the date on which you sign your Licence to Reside (the “Cooling-Off Period”). Once we receive such a notice, we will confirm receipt, cancel your Licence and will refund your Advance Room Fee Payment of €300. Bookings made for Semester 2 or 3 starting after the 1st January 2022 Bookings made for Semester 2 or 3 starting after the 1st January 2022

If you sign your Licence to Reside for a semester 2 or 3 beginning after the 1st January 2022, you may cancel your Tenancy, by giving notice in writing or by e-mail to the Residence Manager at the Property, with no penalty up until 15 November 2021 or 8 weeks before the start of your Licence to Reside whichever is the shortest. Once we receive such a notice, we will confirm receipt, cancel your Licence and will refund your Advance Room Fee Payment of €300.00. If you have not collected your key you may also cancel at any time within the period of fourteen (14) days of the date on which you sign your Licence to Reside (the “Cooling-Off Period”).

During the cancellation period, you may cancel your Licence to Reside, by giving notice in writing or by e-mail to the Residence Manager at the Property, Once we receive such a notice, we will confirm receipt, cancel your Licence and will refund your Advance Room Fee Payment of €300.00. Cancelling outside the Cooling-Off Period Outside the Cooling-Off Period, you may request to cancel your Licence to Reside, by notice in writing or by e-mail to the Residence Manager at the Property. However, you will remain liable for the Room Fee payable under the Licence to Reside until a suitable replacement student has been found. Cancelling as you do not receive your visa

If you are not successful in being awarded a visa to travel and study, then we can help. Firstly, we may be able to transfer you to another one of our residences around the globe if you are going to study elsewhere. If you are not going to study elsewhere or we do not have accommodation available in your new city/town of study, we will release you from your Licence to Reside provided the following criteria are met: You submit your request to cancel, in writing or by e-mail to the Residence Manager at the Property, within 3 days of your visa rejection letter; and You provide the Residence Manager with a copy of your rejection letter from the embassy or visa office. One less worry if you don’t receive your points

This is applicable to prospective first-year undergraduate students only. If you are not successful in obtaining your place at your chosen University, then don’t worry, we can help. Firstly, we may be able to transfer you to another one of our residences if you are going to study elsewhere. If you are not going to study elsewhere or we do not have accommodation available in your new city/town of study, we will release you from your Licence to Reside provided the following criteria are met:

You submit your request to cancel, in writing or by e-mail to the General Manager at the Property, within 48 hours after your CAO offer; and You provide the Residence Manager with a copy of your rejection letter from the University or CAO. Once we have your request, we will confirm receipt and refund your Advance Room Fee Payment of €300

Surroundings

If you sign your Licence to Reside on or after 1 June 2021 and you have not collected the keys to your Room, you may cancel your Licence, by giving notice in writing or by e-mail to the Residence Manager at the Property, at any time within the period of fourteen (14) days of the date on which you sign your Licence to Reside (the Cooling-Off Period). Once they receive such a notice, they will confirm receipt, cancel your Licence and will refund your Advance Room Fee Payment of €300

When you check in we’ll need to see a copy of your ID, and also recommend bringing a printed copy of your tenancy agreement with your signed guarantor forms.

In times of uncertainty and your peace of mind, we recommend you select a flexible rate with free cancellation. If your plans change, you can always cancel free of charge until the cancellation expires.

This fee is a one-off, non-refundable €50 fee to cover the administration costs associated with processing your application to live with us.
Contents insurance is not included in your tenancy agreement. It is your obligation to provide your own contents insurance under Irish legislation.
We don’t provide any bed linen or towels in our flats as we find students like to personalise their rooms.
All your rents need to be paid monthly in advance, as set out clearly in the rental agreement you sign at the time of booking. To keep things simple, the total rent due to us needs to be paid monthly in advance in 8 equal payments as per the rental agreement.
To live with us whilst studying at University, you will need to be 18 or older.
