Liberty to choose from a variety of shared apartments like a 2 bed, 4 bed or 6-bed apartment. You will have to share your kitchen, living area and study area with other flatmates in shared apartments.
One can also opt for a luxurious self-contained studio apartment wherein you will have your own personal bed, kitchen, study area and living area all for your personal use. It also provides ample storage space where you can keep your belongings.
Each en-suite room comes with a 3/4 double bed, large wardrobe, bedside table, Sky TV, drawers, generous study area and a shared kitchen with microwave. Self-contained studios come with the same great features but now with a private kitchen area and a comfy chair.
Social and fun
Shand House student accommodation provides you with an outdoor courtyard where you can sunbathe or read your favourite novels while soaking in the sunshine. If you want to study in peace, you can use the reading room to complete your project or study for your upcoming test. You can place your bike on the premises without any fear as there is a bike storage facility on-site.
Shand House Cardiff gives you spacious common rooms where you can distract yourself from studies by playing a friendly game of pool with your friends or just sit in the comfortable sofas and watch your favourite show on TV

Cancellation policy
Your booking can be cancelled for free if the Visa application has been denied.
A booking can be cancelled for free if you have failed to obtain the required qualifications to get into your university of choice.
You may cancel your booking within 24 hours of signing your tenancy (if your tenancy period has not begun). In this scenario, your advance rent payment along with any other rent payments will be refunded.
If you wish to cancel 24 hours after signing your tenancy (if your tenancy period has not begun), you may still do so provided you do it before 1st August 2017. In this scenario, your advance rent payment is forfeited, but you will not be obligated to make any further payments as per the tenancy agreement.
If you wish to cancel on or after 1st August 2017, you may do so, but you will be required to find a replacement tenant. Until a suitable replacement is found, you may not be released from the tenancy agreement and are liable to pay the rent. A £100 admin fee is charged to accommodate the new tenant.
If you cancel your contract before the contract begins you will be subject to our cancellation terms and charges. Cancellations will only be accepted upon receipt of a completed cancellation form. Contact the Cambridge office to request a form.
Yes, a tenancy can be canceled within 24 hours with no charge. and your initial rent payment of £300 will be refunded. After 24hours of booking and before the 1st of July students may cancel their booking, but you will not get your £300 initial rent payment refunded.
If you wish to cancel after the 1st July a replacement student will need to be found to take over your tenancy agreement. You will remain liable for the rent until the end of the tenancy unless a replacement can be found.

Security and safety
All our residences are staffed 24-hours a day, 7 days a week by trained caretakers or security guards. The management office is open Mon-Fri 9 am to 5 pm.

We provide 24-hour security with CCTV, electronic access control and a member of staff on site. Our residents also have a responsibility for ensuring the site is kept secure and are asked to ensure the accommodation remains safe by not allowing access to non-residents and reporting anything suspicious to staff immediately.
