Although the place is not in the best position relative to the city (the view is not very nice) and the staff is a little expeditious, it feels like a small hotel. The rooms are very clean, neat. Sheets are free, a TV is available in the rooms. The beds are very comfortable and the curtains well blackout.

The hostel is very good to some detail (room layout, light). The staff is friendly and available, the lounge bar is open 24 hours a day (convenient for the night owls). It is located right next to the metro station and can be in town in 15 minutes.

Not disappointed by this hostel. It's clean, and you sleep well. We can leave our luggage in a luggage room. Just a little far from the center of the coup we depend on the metro (which is 5 minutes from the hostel that said)

I really loved it. The hostel was very clean, and the facilities, in general, are good to share with other people. You can find the subway walking distance 2-3 minutes and there is also a train station, what allows us to move to other places. Take in consideration that linen, breakfast and other amenities are not included in the price.

Although the hostel is on the outskirts of a soulless office district, the city center is very accessible thanks to the metro nearby. The enormous property never stop. The rooms are clean and spacious. The reception is rather nice.

Problems with cleanliness Good condition because the hotel was new, but we stayed 7 days and the trash was never emptied. And never have we been told, or indicated where the garbage cans were. They were emptied in the bins of the hall. And no cleaning

Our house is in the heart of the alternative area Berlin Friedrichshain and it is surrounded by numerous pubs, bars, galleries and trendy shops. This area has plenty of culture on offer, such as the East Side Gallery (which is the longest last standing part of The Wall). Catch the bus, tram or S- Bahn from Ostkreuz and you will arrive comfortably and swiftly in central Berlin in just a few minutes.

The hosted administration is very unreliable. They cancelled my booking and changed it to some other branch just one day before the arrival. Also the prebooking amount that I paid is not refundable on cancellation. Its very unprofessional and disgraceful for such a hotel chain. Never ever gonna book again

A simple hostel, with good heating and very well located, with supermarkets (Lidel, a bio ...), cafes, shops, the metro station where you can take any direction and about 20 from the airport.
Friendly hostel and close to the center but lacks soul
The hostel is close to the metro and allows to be in the center quickly. The only downside I will find is that being divided into several buildings, there is no soul that can be found in other hostels; we only communicate with the people in our room. If you do not pay for breakfast, you do not have access to the kitchen which is a problem because it means you have to eat outside each time or bring these short and others. Overall, it is better to pay a little more and have more benefits because in this hostel, the price is not high (which is good for students in particular) but each small service is extra (bed linen: 7 €, breakfast: 7 €, check-out beyond 10h: 10 € ...) Finally, I paid for a mixed room and my first night, I ended up in a room of 8 with 7 boys; I asked to change rooms because I was not very comfortable and I was told that the hostel was full or I had to pay extra to change the building ..

Staff not very welcoming during check in at the hostel, shower without curtains (except on the top floor where they are doors), room for 8 people but we had only a small table and only 2 chairs.

The A&O Berlin Hauptbahnhof was opened in September 2010. The newly built house has very modernly furnished rooms and different dormitories. The spacious lobby and entrance area with bar, billiards and table soccer together create an inviting atmosphere with international charm. The A&O is in a central yet quiet location.
More a badly organized hotel than a hostel, big lack of organization
The staff is not very welcoming, very impersonal place, the atmosphere is not friendly, the average organization (problems with reservations). The kitchen is practical but the food is stolen from the fridges, and the other travelers do not do their dishes: there is no surveillance when it comes to the manners of the guests. It's closer to a hotel than a real hostel.

The more I go, the more disappointed I am. I found the staff to be very unfriendly, the room smelled and was dirty.
Travelers, avoid!
By reserving a dormitory for 6 women on the aubergedejeunesse website, I did not expect to end up in a mixed dormitory with 7 noisy and stinky men. I paid 30 euros a night to be bothered by German teenagers on school trips (those who believe that Germans are respectful, go to an A&O hostel), and to be spied on leaving the shower by the men who shared my dormitory. Fights between several of them for a Muslim prayer performed in the middle of the dormitory, pestilential smell, dormitory toilets that have become unusable, windows that do not open to evacuate the smell (window overlooking a car park)... As As a young solo traveler, I can tell you that I didn't feel safe, so I ended up moving my stuff and going to sleep in a friend's room. And don't count on A&O to give you back the money you owed when you slept 10 nights in a room that was worth after checking 15€ less than the one you paid for! Tips: breakfast is chargeable, but no one checked at the entrance to the room;). And avoid the pizzas and other snacks offered at the bar of the hostel

Not far from the central station, this establishment looks like a dodo factory as the corridors are suffocating in this month of August and have so many doors. But the staff is very caring, responding efficiently to all requests with a smile. Perfect for a short stay.

Decent hostel but I'm a little disappointed
I came to this hostel with a lot of hope since I had already been there the previous year and had had a good stay but there I was really disappointed. It was really not clean in the room, the shower was clogged, and the toilet smelled of pee. In addition there was a drunk girl at 8am with her desperados beer then a Corona beer at 10am. I do not understand that the reception sold this to her at such an early hour, especially after she came to the room to shout and she woke everyone up. In addition, we stole 3 clothes from my neighbor, luckily that did not happen to me ... Otherwise the reception is not always nice especially in the evening, the guy seemed drunk that I came to ask him a question. Finally the breakfast at 8 euros is bcp too expensive, for the same price I recommend a cafe in Berlin where you will have a lot more to eat, better and healthier for the same price

The A&O Berlin Mitte opened in 2004 and was last renovated in the spring of 2014, when a new wing was added. It is the largest of our houses in Berlin with rooms in various categories. The special highlight of the A&O Berlin Mitte is its unbeatable, central location right in the middle of Mitte! Due to its size the A&O Berlin Mitte is perfect not only for group trips but with its Family Lounges and play corner it's also great for holidays with the kids.

Friendly hostel but unusable kitchen
This hostel was very big and nice. However, the kitchen was small, difficult to access (you always had to queue at reception to retrieve a card to open it, then queue again to return it), cleaning was very rare and there was no had nothing to clean ourselves (for example a large puddle of oil remained on the ground for three days without being cleaned), and there was nothing (except the plates) to cook, the rest being brought by other guests of the hostel.

Good price, good location
We were a group of 13 people, we spent great time at the hostel. The common areas are really cool, there is also playground for kids, and a large terrasse outside! The price was good, however you have to rent the bed sheets, and they were not mentioned on the website (third party website). Same things, I thought that the price per night was 11.45€, but when I booked the price was at 14.50€... Only one night was at this price.
Expensive, dirty hostel with rude staff
Arriving at the hostel we came across rude staff in cases that refused to speak English. They tried a kind of bribe, in exchange for sheets we should write a good review about them. If you want a good evaluation, treat your customers better, don't try to bribe, be receptive and clean the areas your guests use! We went to use the kitchen and it was horrible. There were no cabinets, dish rack, dishcloth, the trash overflowed; not a week away, the filthy floor, there were only two pans to use and the hostel has capacity for many guests. I will definitely not be returning to this hostel; I spent 12 days in Germany, the days I was in this hostel were the worst and most expensive!

I was in a room of 8, the beds are good and there are 2 USB sockets per bed, European sockets everywhere in the room. That's the only good thing I saw ... the bathroom was filthy, no cleaning apparently ... I still stayed 3 days without the trash being emptied or anything. .. The elevator is run down ... it's a shame since the hostel has potential ... the staff is nice!
That's what you pay for
Nice hostel and in a convenient location. The first flaw is that in the presentation was reported a shared kitchen that was actually not available for use because of work in progress but this was not reported. The staff was however very available to provide for heating our dinner. The second that the elevator does not reach the top floor. Also, there are no personal safes in which to leave valuables, but a safe was available at the reception.

Está bastante cerca de una línea de metro (U8) y también de una estación de tren. A una paradad de metro hay un Lidl, andando es media hora aproximadamente. El albergue en si es acogedor y bastante cómodo, tiene zonas para el ocio muy espaciosas y con enchufes para cargar móviles, ordenadores u otros dispositivos. El personal es antento y simpático, y las habitaciones compartidas (al menos la de 6) son bastante espaciosas, aunque el baño con la ducha es pequeñito.

We were two groups of girls and our stay was very good! The reception of the staff was very good! The accommodation is simple but efficient, clean. The mattresses are comfortable. It is about a 20 min walk from Alexander Platz, and there is a station also just a 5 min walk away, so very well placed. Also, there are many techno club in the area (in the street and / or 10 min walk). Only downside, you have to pay to leave your luggage.

Die von booking.com beschriebene Route mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln sowie zu Fuß war sehr deutlich und ersichtlich. Es gab keine Probleme beim Finden der Adresse. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Allerdings war die Luft im Zimmer etwas frisch.

It's a big hostel with good location, friendly staff and tidy rooms! I stayed in a 4 bed room with private bathroom. We also had free wifi all the time and TV with SKY TV! Even the elevator was working all the time!

Spacious rooms with modern equipment (hair dryer, heated towel rail, spacious shower + bathroom), great cleanliness everywhere, lift, generous and quality buffet for the Frühstück, and quiet nights. Secure parking nearby (but fee, count 9 € for 24h), bring your sheets (mattress 1 place but very wide) or pay them (3,50 € per person). One of the best addresses in Dortmund, close to the Hauptbahnhof and the pedestrian center, for a small budget (about 25 € per person)! A very good experience, benefits very close to a 3 star hotel (without the price).

Nice place but really noisy
Far from the train station, in the opposite direction of the town. Really noisy when we were there. We had to wait at least 15min at the reception. The room was ok but no the beds had no curtains and were really close from one another. We were with two very stinky and lousy people with no respect so the windows were left open, as well as the curtains so we got up really early.
Disappointing stay
The room was small and the bathroom was very cramped. The mattress was really uncomfortable. We are far from the city center.

It was a about a 20 minute walk to the town and only 20 minutes from the airport. Although this wouldn't stop me from going there again. The only downside is that the kitchen was not easy to locate and that we had enough problems to be able to enter when the card was not activated, then it did not work, the schedule was limited, ...

The house offers modernly furnished single, double or family rooms with a great hotel standard (hotel area) and spacious 4 to 8 dorms with comfortable beds (hostel area). The huge lobby and entrance area, with billiard and table soccer as well as a kids' play area, provides a welcoming atmosphere with an international charm. The hostel is located 20 minutes on foot from the very charming historic town center in red brick, the premises are very modern: the beds are well equipped to put all kinds of things close to you (dormitory for 6 people), with USB sockets for each berth. However, they charge for the sheets, which I find unfortunate because it was not clearly specified when booking. What is also good is that we had access to the guest kitchen where we were able to cook our own food and store our perishable food in the fridge. The room also has its own bathroom / toilet which is comfortable

Despite a small problem at first, everything else was impeccable. The dorms were niquel and for a very affordable price. In addition several activities and services are offered in the hostel. We are a real little jewel for all globetrotters wanting to make a stopover.

The A&O Hamburg Reeperbahn opened in June 2009. In the building of the former Hotel Stern one can still sense the cult atmosphere of the 80s right in the middle of the district. On the most sinful mile in all of Germany the Reeperbahn the hotel offers rooms in close vicinity to all the hustle and bustle.

Misplaced hostel, old rooms, no outlets
The neighborhood is very badly placed (between sexshops, and it is the neighborhood of anarchists). I advise against hanging out at night. Also, the room is very old, no sockets, very uncomfortable bed. We had to change rooms, which was a little better but it was still not that. In short, I really do not recommend! And I am very disappointed.

Hello, I am a young traveler, and I have never stayed in something as bad as this hostel. The rooms were really dirty, no one came to clean them during our stay. Two of our roommates were smoking inside even though it was a non smoking room. On my second night there, I woke up in the middle of the night because I thought something was moving under my blanket. I wanted a second and it moved again. I through the blanket on the side and a little black rat was there and ran away. We left the next day, and the staff (that barely talked to us during the whole stay) forgot to tell us that the check out time was before 10am. We believed it was before noon and they wanted us to pay an extra 10 euros for a 20mn late check out even though there were rats in the room at night. I don't recommend this hostel at all because it is not even that cheap considering how crappy it is.
Worst hostel we've ever been
We made a reservation on this webpage in October for our stay in A&O Hamburg (St Pauli) in January. The webpage dictated that two private rooms for 4 people each had the surprising price of 140 euros, however, when we arrived at the hostel, the reservation they had was for only 2 people. So, we had to book another room for more money and already occupied and, besides, we couldn't stay saturday night because it was full. All in all we had to find another hostel ourselves which had available rooms for our group, (we were lucky bearing in mind it was weekend) The former hostel wasn't helpful at all, in fact, they couldn't care less. We think the hostel should look at the webpages from time to time and verify the information given there, so as to avoid this predicament.

The A&O Köln Hauptbahnhof is located right in the center. It attracts guests with cozy rooms and an extensive All-you-can-eat-breakfast. Wireless internet is available throughout the house and even for free.

This hostel is less than 10 minutes from Neumarkt, in the heart of Cologne and located in a very quiet street but close to bars, terraces and nightclubs. Very friendly and patient staff, not a noise in the whole hostel and to our surprise,

In October 2008 the A&O in Leipzig opened right across from the main train station. Today, the former Reichspost from the Imperial Era is a listed building and its historical charm can be found in our lobby and bar area. The A&O Leipzig offers modern rooms in various hotel and hostel categories.

The hostel is super well placed just behind the train station and really in the city center. The rooms are fine, but the bathroom is much too small and not very clean.

The free Wifi ran well and the facilities were very good. Overall, this was probably the best hostel room I've stayed in so far on my trip around Europe.

This is my second visit to Leipzig, and as I was satisfied with my previous stay here, I decided to do stay on the same place. Room was nice and comfy, very very nice bathroom, they have soap, two towel for each person (included in the price which is great!) and many trivial stuffs which is good like numerous free plastic glasses next to the washbasin. This is an ideal place as well if you intend to stay in Leipzig as a hub to do one day visit to nearby towns (as for me, I visited all the places related to Martin Luther and JS Bach), as it's exactly located opposite the main train station ("Hauptbahnhof" in German).

The A&O Muenchen Hackerbruecke opened in April 2006 and in May 2010 the lobby was expanded. The hotel has different rooms, all with their own balcony, shower or bathtub. On the rooftop of the house there is a bar with a comfy terrace, which invites guests to relax and take in the breath-taking view over the roofs of Munich.

The location is good, the cable car passes in front of the hostel. However, the hostel lacks staff, I arrived and the girl at the reception could not answer me at all about the city, I even asked if they recommended someone to schedule a tour to the dachau, the girl told me to look on the internet, of course I can look for it on the internet, but I wanted a recommendation from someone reliable and who wouldn't tear my hide financially speaking. Many hostels I've stayed in organize free tours and paid tours, this one has none of that and they don't even know how to inform. Otherwise, the accommodations are clean and decent. There are a lot of noisy teenagers, if you are a light sleeper it is not advisable.

The location of the hotel is really great. Well connected to every other tourist place. Room had a balcony and it was really good. Neat, spacious and worth the money. Friendly staff and good facilities

Dormitory clean, bedding correct, but no soundproofing or ventilation: difficult to sleep by 35 ° with the noise of cars and other rooms. Receptionist moderately friendly, unaware of discounts applicable to Interrail and who has difficulty applying them.
Hostel convenient but not extremely comfortable
The beds are good and the sheets are clean but we can not say so many showers that pass instantly from hot to cold and that go badly. In addition some plugs do not work and there was a quilt in our room. The cleaning staff does not respect privacy and enters the rooms without warning. But the hostel is conveniently located 5 minutes by tram from the train station and 30 minutes walk from the city center.

This hotel is a few tram stops from the main train station (5 stops), there is no drink offered, nor breakfast as some hotels can offer it ... To book I took it a little late. For this reason, I went to this hotel otherwise I would have booked in a hotel closer to the station among others ....

This hostel is actually a very good and reasonable solution for such price. Don’t expect much comfort or luxury. They clean Daily, although it’s got the appearance of an unmaintaned building: rust and funny smells. Nonetheless, the basics were fine: a bed to sleep and an acceptable place to take a bath. I think it’s worth it for very tight budgets.

The A&O München Hauptbahnhof was opened in 2005 right next to the Central Station. The small hostel in the city centre has a quiet atmosphere and modern rooms, almost all equipped with their own balcony.

problem with the tram on arrival
I think it would be useful to point out that there are two tram stops starting with Agnes ... If it comes out at first the distance is long especially in rainy weather. That's what happened to me and I was angry !! It might be interesting to point out to new visitors that you have to go down to Agnes dishes. For the rest everything is good

We are a family of 4 people two adults and two children arrived at the hostel late in the evening the reception was excellent and good willingness to help us, we found the rooms clean and tidy, even though ours was noisy being on the ground floor . I would recommend it as well as backpackers also to groups and families. Good location and services (metro, tram, bus) to reach the center of Monaco.

Disappointed by this stay
This hostel promises free laundry but it is unusable (broken but no one tells us), the USB ports next to the beds do not work so you have to share the sockets in the rooms and toilets to charge your phone. In addition, the reception staff are overwhelmed and you sometimes have to wait more than 30 minutes just to ask a question. Also, I had reserved a room for women only and when I returned on the 2nd evening, there was a man installed in the room….

Honestly, when I arrived I was a bit dubious about the cleanliness of the place. But then I saw how my roommates were behaving like animals, littering the place, leaving their hygienic pads in the toilet (!!!) and became very impressed by how the staff is still friendly and nice, despite having to put up with that everyday; how they manage to keep the place somehow cleaned even with these kind of people. So, go there: it's cheap, well situated and people are nice. But please behave like a normal person, for the sake of the staff but also of the people you share the room with.

This hostel is well located for Mestre train station. However, it takes at least 20min to go to Santa Lucia, and more by vaporetto to access San Marco. One thing to note: there is a lack of staff, both at reception and at breakfast.
Good hostel for qques nights of passage
The hostel is more based on a hotel style than the hostel. The rooms are clean, comfortable bedding, private bathroom for each clean room also. Only downside, I did not understand that "sheets provided" meant that I would be asked € 3.50 to have them. The advantage is that the hostel is right next to the bus stop that connects to Venice. I recommend for those just looking for a place to sleep.

The hostel is very clean, with a quality welcome. On arrival, you think you are more in a hotel than in an inn! (Many family and person of +50 years present which makes it possible to cross any type of people). Not much around the hostel to visit but the station to go to Venice is close, and there is an interspar and a pizzeria close to if we forgot or want to eat fast. Small flat, breakfast is 7 €, which is quite expensive for students who travel (although it is all self service and quality). Another downside, if we do not go to breakfast one day, we can not reuse the chip !! so 7 € lost, it's a shame!

Excellent location. Reasonably clean (although, not sure how wise it is, from a hygiene point of view, to have the shower IN the toilet cubicle :/ ). One regrettable aspect of the hostel was a particular member of staff who seemed to be thoroughly stoned
The a&o Weimar opened in July 2014 offering modern rooms in both hotel and hostel sections, each with its own shower and lavatory. You have the choice between comfortable single and double rooms, family rooms with a double bed and bunk bed(s) or shared rooms for 4 to 6 people.
Well located hostel in Weimar
This Weimar Hostel is close to the Bus stop so it is easy to get the city center. There is a great 24 hour bar.

I wouldn't stay there again
It is a school group factory. The dorms are not cleaned every day, there was tons of hair in the bathroom. There is nothing to indicate whether the beds are taken or not, and to indicate that we are leaving and therefore that they can change the sheets. The people I was with didn't respect the other people in the room. The only good point was the people at the reception.

I will only criticize the few flaws that I have noticed, however, everything that is not said was perfect. Neighbors, a little messy, and disrespectful (although it's not your fault, I can imagine). A bathroom door without key lock.
Inn that looks like a factory
Well located right next to the train station, big hostel but a little too factory. The rooms are good with private showers. However, lack of plugs to charge electronic devices (only taken down and again, and when you're on the top bed, impossible to charge your laptop or anything else) Great lack of professionalism to the home, NO information given : - that it is at the level of the hostel: the sheets are not supplied in the price and the receptionists do not speak to you about it (why?), its operation quite simply (schedules, activities, common areas ...) - that it is at the level of the city (sites to visit, tickets of transport ...) Personal case: the receptionist gave me a room which did not correspond to my reservation. The mistake is human but hey, no excuses on his part, nothing. As normal, I would have recommended this hostel for its location and space but unfortunately too many mistakes.
I would repeat without hesitation.

Staff very very cold, not friendly, not smiling, very dry. The beds were infested with mites, I was stung all night all over the body, despite the sheets provided

For the price we paid, it was very worth it, because more than a hostel, as in our room we were only three of us, it looked like a hotel. Very clean, with separate shower and bath and inside each room. The only bad thing was the location, which while it was next to the train station and the fast food restaurants in it, was a bit far from the city center (20-30 minutes walk to Karlsplatz or 3 stops of subway). Anyway, highly recommended, when I return to Vienna I already know where to go.
Not an inn but a hotel
This is not what I call a hostel but rather a hotel where there are several in a room. The room was to be for girls only but it was a mixed room al arrive, provide 7 euros for two to have sheets, otherwise check in and check out simple and receptionists at the top, not enough electrical outlets in rooms for all occupants
I'd suggest a better control in the luggage room.

I had to change the room 3 times because it was never the right one, which is not very practical during a 3-day stay. you have to pay for the sheets and covers. I had the impression that the staff were always in the west (it is possible that my stay coincides with newcomers) Otherwise, the rooms are comfortable and clean.

Badly located, suburban limit of Vienna, not very well frequented. The room is very poorly maintained, the toilet handle is broken, the lockers do not lock. There was a very unpleasant smell in the room. Sheets are optional so the beds don't smell good...staff stick to the bare minimum...I wasn't even told the wifi code nor was I told sheets were optional. I wanted to wash my clothes but they told me that the dryer was broken. No air conditioning in the rooms so had to sleep with the window open but given that it overlooks a busy road the noise was unbearable. These are mixed dorms where there is no age limit so as a girl I did not feel safe at all when I was alone in a room with a 50-year-old gentleman… in short I do not recommend this place despite the fact that it is not very expensive.

The hostel is generally good, acceptable cleanliness and friendly staff (in Vienna standard). Very well located (100m from the metro). However, I do not recommend if you are traveling alone, I met 96% of couples or families there.
Disappointment because of the kitchen
-has a kitchen on the site but have no pots and a single knife and the kitchen is tiny. -The cards to access the room had to be re-magnetized 3 times -there was still a smell in the room and the room was cold
Great place and kind staff
The place is really close to a tram station which make it easy to arrive and go visiting. Corridors and bedrooms are clean and the price is pretty cheap. I was just a bit disapointed by the price of the breakfast that is quite expensive (7€).

The hostel is a chain that is also a hotel. The dormitories of 6 people are relatively small, the bathroom tiny. Sheets are not free, no towels available and the cleanliness is relative. I was put in a dormitory of 6 people with 5 men, which was pretty strange. So I asked to change, the smell became unbearable, one of the hosts was constantly dragging me, while another smoked in the room while everyone slept and I pass you the snoring ... in the end when I I changed to a girls dorm, everything was cleaner, the roommates more respectful. Do not hesitate to change or specify a mixed dormitory (recommended) Highlight of the hostel: a bar, a play area and what to eat at night (pizza, etc.). The hostel is not central and it is 20 minutes from the center by metro. That said, the staff is very friendly and always ready to help you. Practice for a short time!

The gates are locked after 10pm (you can get in with your room key) in order to avoid strangers from getting in (this is especially good on weekends since the hostel's location is close to bars and clubs, so there are a lot of party goers around). Our room was cleaned every day. For two people it is spacious enough if you do not spend a lot of time in there. Also there is an elevator which is especially good in case you live on the very upper floor. I would definitely book it again!

Very friendly and understanding, they allowed us to cancel a room without a deadline. It is close to the metro station and connected in this way to all points in Vienna. The breakfast is, frankly, SPECTACULAR and the hotel in general
It is some distance from the center, more than half an hour walking. The rooms were not bad and they had bathroom included. It does not include towels, bedding or breakfast, but for the low price it is worth it.
