Our multi-award winning, top floor hostel features a large, covered rooftop deck complete with chill-out spots and dining area, well-equipped communal kitchen.
We offer large & small dorms to suit all budgets, as well as female-only dorms, private double, single and twin-bed rooms.
Social and fun
Attic Backpackers hostel is staffed by our team of international backpackers, our team and selected partners provide entertainment throughout the week, whether its a cook out with our Sunday sizzler Barbecue event or pub crawls on Thursday, there's something for everyone here at The Attic.

Surroundings
Attic Backpackers is located in the shadow of Auckland's SkyTower, in the heart of the city.
Just a minute from Queens St and 10 minutes from the iconic Harbour and Viaduct districts, our Hostel couldn't be better placed to take in the delights of Auckland city.
We're around the corner from Queen Street in the Central Business District, so it's easy to get here from Auckland Airport. Jump on the Skybus at Stop 9, you'll be whisked from the main terminal to our neighbourhood in about 40 mins!

Good to know
The Attic does not allocate bunks, and all beds are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. We do not offer a preferred choice or an upgrade option for particular beds.

In times of uncertainty and your peace of mind, we recommend you select a flexible rate with free cancellation. If your plans change, you can always cancel free of charge until the cancellation expires.
The Attic Reception Desk is open from 8am-11pm. Guests wishing to check in after 11pm will need to contact our team prior to arrival.
Please note that Attic Backpacker hostel dormitories do not have personal lockers within the room. The Attic has a centralized Locker Room where valuables can be stored, free of charge.
All guests are required to show either a PASSPORT or NZ DRIVING LICENSE at Check-in.
