The hostel allows you to rest but a lot of things mean that its rating cannot be higher. Good points : - Friendly and welcoming staff - Breakfast included in the room price - Bed a little hard but comfortable nonetheless Negative points : - lack of renovation of the building (plinths that are peeling off, broken or holed tiles, municipal swimming pool style shower) - leaking shower pipe (reported to reception) - difficulty using electrical outlets at the same time as the lamp. You have to understand how it works - cleaning in the sanitary areas with magnificent cobwebs on the man's side on the ground floor - rooms ready quite late at 3:45 p.m. and not before knowing that the cleaning is not perfect
At the reception, a large screen with 8 control cameras in the hostel. A TV on all the time. An emergency exit... With digicode... In the room at 6 a.m. a huge noise comes from the kitchen ventilation which opens just below the bedroom window. Everyone woke up at 6 a.m. upstairs. Despite protests, scandals, calls to a manager and a technician, no effect. The unbearable noise will last until I leave at 10 a.m. Knowing that a techno festival was taking place in the Jardin des Deux Rives, a hundred meters from the hostel, I didn't sleep a wink all night. A liberticidal atmosphere with gates everywhere, cameras, smart cards, digital codes for emergency exits and a huge and completely empty park... Long live Europe! Totally dehumanized neighborhood and establishment. It's scary and it makes me sad.
we booked this hostel for 2 nights. After the first night we left. The reason: In front of our room there was an absolutely deafening whistle without interruption. Even with "ohropax" it was impossible for us to sleep. As the hostel was full there was no possibility to change the room. We did not receive back the amount for the 2nd night. Unfortunately there was no possibility of having dinner at the hostel or in the immediate vicinity. In the bar we were very well served!
An excellent quiet stay, well connected, generous breakfast, near public transport
This hostel is very big but the buildings are old, for example, in my room the bathroom did not lock. The city center is far (30 min) but there is a tram and a bus line. Finally, if you are just looking for a place to sleep for a night or two this is a very good place.
