The Hostel stands in a wig of the beautiful Convent Sant Angelo belonging to the Franciscan monks.
On February 21st 1552, the cornerstone was laid and the construction of the convent and the church of S. Angelo was commenced. The building has been commissioned by the governor Ferrante Gonzaga, the church replaced the eponymous church that had been demolished as it was on the route planned for the new city walls.

Great
Great hostel

I stayed there for a day and it was fine: the hostel offers free breakfast (included in the total price of your stay) and has comfy common areas. It's located 20 minutes away from very major tourist attraction (il Duomo, Chinatown, Arco della Pace,...). However, it's really expensive to store your luggage if you need to wait for your train/bus/plane after your check-out (€5 a day per luggage, while this service should be free) and there's no bathrooms other than in your room (same issue, it makes it hard to enjoy the city after your check-out time). The staff is very nice tho, they let us use their private bathroom. I would recommend this hostel for a short weekend trip.

Super placed, but not very clean, the windows and the air conditioning not great.

The hostel is placed perfectly, you can walk to the center and to the trendy areas of the city. By cons, not recommended for people who are meticulous: it's not very clean. The AC didn't work, and the windows were difficult to open and close. As it was hot, sleep a bit difficult. The interior courtyard on the photos is not accessible. The staff was polite, but they weren't all well informed about their own establishment and gave crazy explanations about the malfunctions of the air conditioning.
