As you climb the steps of the ‘Grand Phare de Goulphar (or Kervilahouen), the panoramic view confirms it.
The promenade on the Citadelle, nicknamed the ‘Ironclad of the Atlantic’, offers another viewpoint, as do the bicycle paths that criss-cross the whole island.
Many walking trails are accessible for long invigorating walks.

Off the Morbihan coast, the rich history of Belle-Île goes back to the Celts and Romans. Vestiges of these civilizations are still to be found on the island, as well as the fortifications erected by the engineers of the Kings of France. A walk along the wild coast is a must here - from the Port-Coton Pointe des Poulains and des Aiguilles where land and sea meet with a clash in an exceptional setting.

good location well located with large outdoor space
The hostel is great, very friendly welcome, garden for eating is ideal, good atmosphere between people staying, hearty breakfast nothing to complain about ..... thank you to your team.
