Walaba is a charming property located between the jungle and the beach in the South Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. Located in Playa Punta Uva 6km south of Puerto Viejo. Our Caribbean style houses, are perfect for people who enjoy the tranquility of nature and love life. Our regular visitors in the area include monkeys, sloths, hummingbirds, toucans and many other species of birds, frogs, lizards along with other creatures that mother nature has offered Costa Rica.

The room I had was in the basement so dark and had ventilation problems in the bathroom. So it is better to ask for an above ground room. Otherwise everything was perfect and the staff very welcoming and efficient.

I had no wifi. The sheets and the room in general smelled bad, like a hospital. And the bathroom left to be desired because the shower had no support, that is, you showered on the floor and soaked the whole bathroom.
I would not return.
