When we created California Dreams Hostel, we wanted to create a true hostel experience for travelers all over the world. We provide the fun, community atmosphere of a hostel while having all of the amenities, cleanliness & comfort of staying at a Hotel.

We are located in the heart of Pacific Beach & offer Surf Lessons everyday. The perfect location to spend your entire stay or branch out to see all that San Diego offers. You’ll experience true California hospitality! Explore all the restaurants, bars, nightlife & beach activities a short walk away. Explore neighboring areas by hopping on a scooter, taking a Lyft/Uber or use our transfer service. Another option if you’re watching your budget, is the bus line which has a stop on the next block.

We opened the hostel in July 2017.
Everything is super new and fully remodeled with a staff team that follows the idea we have for the business which makes you, as a guest, experience a true vacation where you should not worry about anything.

Passing here for 4 days in San Diego. Perfect location, 2 steps from the beach and surf spots. Lots of restaurants nearby. Very friendly staff and rental of bikes / surfboards at the hostel directly!
When I first got there, I was welcomed by David who was very nice and welcoming and told us about the activities available around. On my second day I met Rayray who told us about the good spots for the night life and advices us some spots to visit such as the Ocean Beach Market and the Sunset View spot which were amazing. The staff members were very enthusiastic and ready to answer any questions we had. I really enjoyed my stay at the California dreams hotel.
California Dreams Hostel is right next to the beach and the location is perfect for walking access to the Ocean Blvd where you can bike, run or walk and just take in the beautiful view. Surfing lessons and bike rentals, etc can be scheduled at the hostel. Restaurants are right next door. The excellent staff takes good care of you and makes you feel at home. The bed that I slept on was so comfortable and all of the facilities are very clean.
The hostel is located in the perfect location. The facilities were excellent and the environment was friendly. Pedro is one of the coolest people I’ve met and the fact that he’s from Brazil added to his swagger. He greeted me and every other guest with a warm smile and friendly vibe. He was super helpful with suggestion on what to do in the local area. This hostel is excellent. Make sure to sign up for one of their many tours and activities. Cheers!!!
